DS No. 37: Flower Firl

Flower Girl

One of the few pics of our Flower Girl in our wedding.

Journalling: You were such a camera shy 'lil flower girl. Little did they know, all it takes was just a bribe of a cute cuddly teddy bear to get you pose and look the cam's way.

DS No. 35: Summertime.

Summertime
A pic of dh and me taken on our last summer getaway (March - May here in the Philippines). We just arrived at the resort and was about to eat our lunch. The view was absolutely breathtaking.

Journalling: Our last escapade before summer of 2006 officially ends. It was our first time to hit the sands and beaches of Batangas and it was so breathtaking. It's worth the long travel time.

DS No. 33: Charie.

Charie

A layout made for a beatiful friend, Charie, on her wedding day.

Journalling - A Poem by Jo Hanapi
On this special day, in a blissful moment
We finally unite as husband and wife
What a blessing we have been given
Our dream is brought to life

I pledged my heart to you
It will forever be yours
My love is pure and true
Without you I would be lost

As years pass by, when we are old and gray
You beside me is my only prayer
Our love grows stronger, it will never fade away
For eternity, forever and always

DS No. 32: Karla.

Forever Lasting
My layout for my beautiful friend, Karla, on her wedding day.

Journalling:
Today I will marry my bestfriend...the one I will always turn to.
Confide and be strong, in my friend and my lover.
Today, I will marry my bestfriend..to drink of love's eternal fountain.
When we turn our heads from the past and trust in God to guide our paths.
Today, I will marry my bestfriend..where our lives are not our own.
We place our lives in God's hands and let Him carry us all the way to the end.

DS No. 31: Bohol Trip

Bohol Trip

My sister with a Philippine tarsier. This was taken in one of the conservatory parks in Bohol, Philippines during her Bohol trip on Dec 05.

Journalling reads:
The Philippine Tarsier is so-called "the world's smallest primate" found in the provinces of Bohol, Samar & Leyte, Philippines. It measures about four to six inches in height and has a uniquely large eyes. It's considered to be endagered due to deforestation.

DS No. 30: Butterfly Kisses.

Forever Lasting

I was teary-eyed while doing this layout. I can help but reminisce the crying moments my dad and I had as he walked me down the aisle on my wedding. It was truly a special moment for me as He gave me blessings to spread out my wings..ready to fly filled with love that he's nurtured me all my life.

The journalling is an excerpt from the song Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle and Randy Thomas:

She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise, and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her,
she asked me what I'm thinking,
and I said "I'm not sure,
I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
Then she leaned over....and gave me....
Butterfly kisses, with her Mama there
Sticking little flowers all up in her hair
"Walk me down the aisle, Daddy, it's just about time"...
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy?" "Daddy, don't cry."
With all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve her love every morning,
And butterfly kisses I couldn't ask God for more, man, this is what love is.
I know I've gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

Digiscrapping Break.

I won't be able to post new layouts in the coming days and perhaps, weeks since I'm no longer a bum.  I've started working again so my weekdays get me so busy that I barely open up my Photoshop.

I'm miss and itching to digiscrap..but..real life is getting in the way. Arrgh!
