Save Them Please.

Last night, I learned from a late night tv special that young drug addicts no longer just resort to inhaling cough syrups or solvents. Now they even use seemingly harmless marker pens and styrofoams to satisfy their cravings for drugs. These items consist of a chemical, toluene, which has the typical harmful effects that any other drugs exhibit. I really pity these young souls because they don’t know where they are leading their lives to. They don’t realize how they are putting their lives in danger.

Sad as it is, poverty and lack of education and parental guidance are mostly the common reasons why these young impoverished people engage into drugs. They don’t have the money to buy food so they’d just sniff these cheap equally harmful items so they’d overcome and forget their hunger. The government must act on this fast. These kids need to undergo drug rehab to save their lives and their future.

My Workstation.

For 3 months now, I have been enjoying the comfort of a new, a lot cozier workstation. Since I used to be just a project employee, I was just cramping in a small corner then doing my tasks. In fact, I was really having a hard time doing my paperworks as I didn’t have that much needed space.

But now as I assumed a permanent position, here’s my new space that I’m currently stationed at. I love my new workstation because I have:

1. an ergonomically designed, wide office table
2. two spacious hanging cabinets
3. a cozy mid-back chair
4. a well-illuminated space because of the under cabinet lighting
5. a wide leg room

So even though, work can be strenuous and tiring sometimes, I’m somehow relieved, relaxed and gets me going because of my comfortable space.

Blessed.

I am one of those blessed ones who, despite having a voracious appetite, seldom gains weight easily. In fact, the heaviest I’ve been is only 105 lbs, my current weight. For someone, who doesn’t have restrictions as to how much rice, burgers, chips, sodas, etc., it feels great that I don’t have to take in diet pills like Tenuate just to stay in shape. I know I still have to observe a proper, healthy diet, but at least I get to wear comfortably in my clothes without being conscious with my physique.

On Mortgage Refinancing.

Are you a homeowner who has an existing long-term home mortgage and wish to alleviate a bit the burden it does to your pockets? Why not consider mortgage refinancingfrom SecureLoanConsolidation. Basically, refinancing will reduce your periodic payment obligations by changing the loan’s interest rate to a lower one, or by extending the loan’s period so as to stretch the re-payment out over a longer period of time. Refinancing also ensures steady interest rate over time. If you are residing within the Florida area, check out more about Florida Mortgage refinance or Orlando Mortgage refinance at SecureLoanConsolidation.

DS No. 83: Simone's Invites # 1

Here’s the first invite I did for a good friend’s daughter. Simone was welcomed into the Christian world as she was dedicated last month. Her dedication was initially scheduled on April 29 but rescheduled to May 13. We could have gone and witnessed this momentous event but this was the time when we also celebrated hubby’s birthday in Subic. At any rate, I saw from the pictures that Simone and her parents had a blast. My good friend, Jacque, also told me that a lot raved about the (labor of love) invites I did for her daughter woohoo!

Make Business Less Risky.

Business owners must acknowledge the fact that there’s always risk in any business. Without proper risk management and protection, the business will most likely fail in a snap. One of the ways to protect your business and to make it less risky is investing in the right kind and amount of insurance coverage. Several types of Business insurance include Workers Compensation, Liability Insurance, Life Insurance and Business Owners Policy. Check out Secureinsurancequotes.com to know more about these types and the additional insurance products (like travel insurance)they offer.

Burn Notice.

There’s a new American “Spy-fi” television series that will premier this June 28. USA Network's Burn Notice, which stars Jeffrey Donovan, is about a CIA agent who gets a burn notice while on assignment. Apparently, a burn notice is an official statement by one intelligence agency to other agencies, domestic or foreign, that an individual or group is fallacious. This is a very unfortunate thing to happen to a spy, isn’t it?

Clueless of what have caused his dismissal, he returns to his hometown in Miami, determined to uncover the reason for his sudden termination. Knowing how tricky the CIA works and functions, I’m anxious to know how he would do that. Will he be successful or not? That’s for us to find out.

Now it keeps me thinking, what could have really been the reason of him getting a burn notice. Probably, while on a mission, he deceptively trusted and befriended a felon. The headquarters came to know about this and they immediately shut him off thinking he’s betraying the intelligence agency. Of course that was just my initial broad speculation of the show’s gist. I am sure, the show is packed with twists and revelations that would surely surprise the viewers and keep them hooked.

Be sure to tune in on June 28 at 10/9C on USA Network, Burn Notice also stars Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless.

Piano Lessons for Adults.

I still recall that we used to have this little battery-operated Casio piano when we were still kids. It was my sister who taught me how to play it and among the first song I learned to play was The Sound of Music Theme Song Do-Re-Mi. I didn’t get to further enhance this and I wish I should have taken piano lessons when I was in Grade School. At any rate, I discovered that there’s a website offering piano lessons for busy adults. Check out Playpiano.com and see their Chords & Progressions Piano Tips for everyone’s perusal. A free email newsletter containing the piano lessons are published and sent out for every 5 days or so totaling to 101 issues. Duane Shinn or “The Pianoman” himself also sells full-blown piano courses on DVD for adults.

DS No. 82: Dad's Day '07

Finally, I was able to scrap today. It’s been a while since I last opened my Photoshop CS2 and played around with my kits. I also bought a newly-released goodie from Sweet Shoppe Designs at 20% off which I used in this layout.

So here it is…my layout tribute to my beloved Papa in time with the Father’s Day tomorrow.

Papa

Pa, even though you’re so far away, I want you to know that you are remembered and deeply appreciated for all the things you’ve done for us. Love u so much!

Online Payday Loans.

Thank God it's Friday tomorrow..oooppps...I think I'd better exclaim: Thank God it's payday tomorrow! We need to shell out a quite huge amount this month for the annual car insurance and Paul's life insurance. Then there are also the monthly credit card bills, cellphone bills, groceries and other dues that need to be settled....arrgghh! Talk about neverending expenses. Although, I have PPP earnings to augment our salaries to cover these expenses (and MY freakish fancies and whims), we're thinking of availing an Online Payday Loan since hubby's insurance dues are really quite a sum. These are the instances that Online Payday Loans come in helpful for individuals needing fast cash or those with emergency needs.

Magsforless Coupons.

I have held off myself from shopping online digiscrapping goodies lately. Aside from the fact that my mojos aren’t still back (thus, with the absence of new layouts), I’m hooked with my new semi-dslr camera and I’m quite anxious to learn all its features. I’m planning to avail a photography magazine subscription aside from collecting online tutorials to keep me abreast with this new hobby. It’s a good thing that I got Magsforless coupons from CouponChief.com. I’m looking at subscribing Outdoor Photography Magazine or the Shutterbug Magazine. Magsforless has the cheapest mag subscriptions on the web and with CouponChief.com’s cool coupons, I might consider subscribing with both.

Photo # 1-2: Orchids.

Still more pictures taken using our new toy (Canon Powershot S3 IS). By the way, I have to give credit to my ever dearest husband. He was the one who took these shots and what can I say…seems like it won’t only be me who’ll get hooked into this new hobby. Lolz.

Our desktop computer recently bogged down causing to have it reformatted again for the nth time. It is absolutely free and is best suited for individuals and families. You also have an option to upgrade at a minimal fee to the IDrive-E Pro version depending on your requirements. Cruiser Bicycles.

Here in our country, Summer Break is almost officially over with the entry of the rainy month of June, and as most schools have started their classes already last week. But with the onset of a long weekend because of the National Holiday on Monday, a lot might have probably headed to the beach and pool resorts this weekend for their last summer hurrah.

On the contrary, the other side of the world is just about to welcome the first wave of summer heat. If you are planning to go swimming, tanning and chilling on the beach, be sure to buy now or prepare your swimming outfits and your tanning lotion. And if you would just like to wander along the beach, then don’t forget to bring your cruiser bicycles for a fun and leisure riding. As wikipedia explains, Cruiser bicycles are balloon-tired bikes with heavy duty frames and were America’s standard bike from the early 1930s right through the 1950s. Their wide tires and simple mechanicals (usually single speed with coaster brake) are ideally suited to riding on flat sandy beaches. Cruisers’ comfort, style, and affordability (compared to mountain and racing bikes) have led to renewed popularity in recent years.

For an extensive array of the coolest cruiser bikes for sale online, check out XYZbikes.com’s catalog. They have several styles and colors to choose from. Should you have questions on shipping (they ship to selected international countries), installation, and others, hop over their site and browse their blog and FAQ pages.

Please make her and her chosen charity the winners. Yep, among the fabulous prizes of the ultimate winner of this contest includes a $500 donation to the winner’s certified charity of choice. Angie’s charity of choice would be Doctors Without Borders.

Putting Up A Business.

Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, I was literally swamped with terms such as incorporation, marketing, feasibility, sales, banking, accounting, profit, bookkeeping, dividends and all sorts of those business terms way back tertiary years. One of the prerequisites we have to pass then was our Block Program subject wherein the whole class incorporated a business and was dubbed as a “Class Corporation”. As stockholders of the company, each one of us chipped in and invested with our own money and setup our Aroma Therapeutic Candles Retail Shop. We all had a firsthand experience in starting a business, the actual course of it up to division of profits and dissolution of it at the end of the semester. Even from the start, we all knew that it won’t be easy. We encountered lots of struggles and challenges just like in the real business world. But with the guidance of our professor, we got through it with successful colors. We quintupled the capital we invested!

Starting your own business is really a challenging task because, as they say, there’s always a risk whatever business you plan to jump into. Further, the paperworks can absolutely be tedious.  This is why businessmen can really count on online incorporation services provided by Incparadise.com. Their firm provides incorporation services to all types of companies: public, private, small, large and nonprofit. For years, their firm has become a leader in the industry and is one of the largest incorporation firms in the state of Nevada. Now they set out and offer online filing service to start corporation in all 50 states. So whether you’re thinking of Tennessee Incorporation, or thinking of putting up a business in any other parts of the US, worry no more as they charge only $89 + state fees for doing all necessary paperwork to start a business.

Hop into their site and check out all you need to know about business structures in their FAQs page. They also offer an affiliate program for those who want to work with them and make commission on incorporation services.

DS No. 81: Subic.

Subic

===Subic Getaway===
May 12 (Saturday) – Paul and I together with my in-laws and Paul’s siblings drove to Subic for an overnight relaxation away from the city. This summer getaway was planned for a triple celebration: Paul’s birthday on the 14th, Mothers Day celeb on the 13th and mom-in-law’s birthday on the 16th. We hit the road at about 7 am. By past 8 am, we were already at Bacolor, Pampanga to fetch and convoyed with my sis-in-law’s family. If not with the slow-moving caravans of election candidates doing their last round campaigns on the highway, we could have arrived in Subic earlier. We reached Sheavens Beach View Hotel in Baretto, Olongapo by 10:30 am. Since they’re still arranging the rooms and check in time is not until 12 noon, we just hang around the tropical garden and lounged and took some photos by the waters of Subic Bay.

After a while, we then settled in our rooms and since we were all salivating for lunch, we hurriedly scoured the main road of Gapo for a nice and cheap diner. Well knowing Gapo, obviously, pubs and beer gardens mostly lined up the main road. Luckily, there’s a resto just a few blocks away from the hotel and there we stuffed ourselves (although, food was not that great). Back in the hotel, I brought out my laptop and luckily, a wireless connection was detected however it was so intermittent and slow that I fell asleep while waiting for the page to load. Lolz.

We walked to nearby Baloy Beach later in the afternoon for a swim.
Later that evening, we headed back to the hotel, freshened up and got ready for dinner. Again, hunting for a good resto was a challenge. Subic’s beach and hotels sprawled near the shoreline of Baloy are really appealing and nice but how I wish they’ll also put up cheap and nice restos to dine in. At any rate, we wre able to find in the outskirts of the highway a so-so grillery and there we ate.

We went back to the hotel, stayed up late watching TV and DVDs on the laptop, then retired the night. The next morning, we had a Jollibee breakfast, went for a morning swim in the beach except for me who was slacking of changing into my swimwear. Later, we checked out and drove back to Manila with the unforgiving and sweltering heat.

Security Cameras.

I just heard that a friend’s house was intruded and got robbed. Their main door was ransacked. The notorious burglars took a hundred thousand worth of their belongings including their laptop, mobile phones, jewelries and other stuffs. This took place when he and her wife were at work and nobody’s home. Despite their village having roving security guards day and night, it really is surprising this still happened. Perhaps, an installed hidden or spy camera might have helped them track the thief.

Hidden / spy cameras – These now have become a popular tool for doing surveillance and monitoring home and business security. Security cameras in households are a great means of watching your property at the convenience of your home, thus, preventing thefts and unwanted entries.

There are actually different types of these security cameras at Pakatak.co.uk at extremely low prices. Their prices are reduced as much as 60%. Among the type that I would suggest for my friend to try out is the Weatherproof CCD Night Vision Camera. It has a 30 built-in infrared night vision LED's that offers a "complete darkness" night vision range of approximately 10 metres and a fixed visor/shelter that helps minimize glare and reflection. It also comes complete with a stand mount that allows easy fixing to walls, fences etc. This camera has a Sharp CCD chip with resolution of 420 TV lines.

Check out their site for more options. From spy cameras, to security cameras, to wireless, pinhole and covert cameras. They all have these..giving the ultimate security that you need.
