DS No. 87: 2nd Anniversary.

Ooopss! I almost forgot to post here my recent digiscrap layout I did for our 2nd anniversary. It seems my mojos are finally back!

Journalling:
On this same date two years ago, I vowed to be your constant best friend, your faithful partner, you eternal soul mate and fortress. I can still vividly remember that special moment when I gave you my word that I’ll love you forever and it is with you that I’ll share the rest of my life with. Now as we celebrate our second year anniversary and as we joyfully await the coming of our Baby A, I want to renew and reaffirm my vow..to be the best that I can be - as your wife and soon, Baby A’s mom. Nothing in this world could ever be as wonderful as the love you’ve given me. Surely we have our own share of ups and downs but it’s in those moments that we’ve proven how stronger we could become, how our love encompasses everything…and I thank for you that. Happy Anniversary and I love you so much!

My apologies if I don’t have any material thing to give you on this special day. I know, more than anything else, it’s this lil blessing inside my tummy that you’re most anxious to get hold of. Don’t worry Dad, our greatest and most-awaited gift will be unwrapped soon.

Inogen One - Solution for Oxygen Deficiency.

If you are experiencing the following symptoms: fatigue, dizziness, depression, irritability, circulation problems, memory loss, overall body weakness, acid stomach, muscle aches, poor digestion, increased infections and tumors – you better see your doctor immediately! You might not know nor notice it but beware; you may be suffering from oxygen deficiency. Don’t take this for granted as it might lead to greater risks and complications. There’s this so-called oxygen therapy to give relief and overcome this ailment. There are actually several oxygen concentrator products in the market such as the inogen one that you can rely on. Check out oxygenconcentrators.org for more info on this latest technology.

Wet, wet, wet!

We went home last night to a messy and wet kitchen. We found Dad-in-law fixing the broken sink faucet, tired and pretty exhausted. He tried to call our ever reliable plumber but since it was pretty late, he wasn’t able to get hold of him. It’s a good thing that Dad is quite mechanically skilled and we have stocked some plumbing fixtures in the storage room for emergency cases like this. The faucet is now fixed and working just fine. Thanks to our hero or else, we would still be busy mopping the kitchen floor!

New Dress!

I’m so excited for tomorrow. My sister gifted me an elegant voguish preggy dress that I can wear tomorrow – the last day in the office before the holidays! Actually, it’s just a hand-me-down dress since she wore it once for a party she attended last week. But since it’s more of a loose maternity wardrobe, she willingly gave it to me. If only I could wear platform shoes..it’ll look better with it. I don’t have a new pair of footwear to match with but I’ll just settle with my flat shoes. It still looks good anyway.

Christmas of Olde Quick Page Freebie.

Here are two of my latest Christmas freebie acquisitions:

These quickpages were especially created by no other than the talented designer Christine Smith. You can snag the freebie here.

A quickpage (or sometimes called plopper), by the way, is a pre-made page where one can easily just place a photo onto it. If you’re a novice, this is the easiest way to try and explore the world of digital scrapbooking.

Golf.

I’m a bit sports-minded person but among the games that I’m not that much into it is golf. I’d love to try it though in the future. The reason why I’m not drawn into it probably is my impression that it’s an expensive sport. Added to that, I don’t want the transferring from one hole to another thing over a wide golf course under the heat of the scorching sun..I think that’s pretty tiring.

My boss, on the other hand, is so much into golf. He would spend his weekends with his golf buddies at Wack-wack. Even during weekdays, I often see him bringing his club (similar to that of Cleveland golf clubs). I think they’re also golfing after work.

Pestering Construction.

Hubby and I woke up this morning to the noise brought about by a construction nearby. Our neighbor is currently having his house renovated and we’re just quite annoyed with the hassle that it brings. Yes, we’re affected since their house is just beside my in-laws’ house where we stay during weekends. Aside from the noise caused by their sawing, hammering and drilling activities, dust particles easily accumulates everywhere inside the house. They should have some sort of dust collector like this from Delta machinery. Or better yet, they should speed up the construction so the hassles we’re experiencing end the soonest.

Wishing for an Abode.

We had our group’s Christmas Party at a colleague’s new Condo unit last Tuesday. Albeit small for a party gathering, I actually love her abode. It’s a 3-bedroom unit with ample living room, kitchen and dining spaces. The unit is still a bit bare of furnishings but I love the way they have designed it keeping it minimal and simple. I also fell in love with the mini-bar and her bar stools are just lovely and comfy. Hubby and I have been dreaming to own a house and lot (or a Condo unit will do). I hope in the years to come, we’d also have a place that we can call “our own”.

Dress Up the Car.

My brother-in-law’s Isuzu pick up truck recently conked out. He was heading home when apparently; the car just halted and wouldn’t start. It’s a good thing that they got a free towing service courtesy of their car insurance so even if it was pretty late already, he had the car sent to the car repair center. The truck got fixed now but he’s thinking of selling it since this has been the third time it broke down this year. He plans of selling it then just buy a new brand one, a pick up car still. He has this craze for pick up trucks actually. In fact, there’s already one from Isuzu that he’s eyeing. He’s now even visualizing the exterior accessories that he’ll put up in it: bull bars, a truck bed liner, the taillight guard, and running boards. He's seemingly dressing it up. I bet it’ll look cool with all those exteriors.

On Mortgages.

My dad wants to have our house renovated. He has been planning on this for quite some time now but he’s quite uncertain about this project because he says he doesn’t have the “spare” money to shell off. I told him that there are various financing methods that he can choose from should he really want to push through with his plan even though if he “feels” he doesn’t have enough moolah to spend. Mortgages are one of those options. He can apply for cheap mortgages among so many good deals that are being offered by reliable financial lenders out there. Dad’s seemingly convinced but the pessimistic in him kicked in again and worries that his application might not get approved. I told him he can always try. In fact, there are even these so-called bad credit remortgages that are being offered in the market. That only means that if those who have bad credit history get to be approved, how much more for him when he always has a good credit standing.

Shopping Mania.

I’ve been shopping for digistuffs lately (and even madly downloading freebies that I get hold of) but the problem is, I haven’t even opened my Photoshop lately. I have several projects in mind…but where the heck is my mojo nga ba?!? Hmmm..eto na talaga..I’m off to open my Photoshop!

By the way, my shopping madness holed up $21.06 on my Paypal credits already. Buti na lang..mababa ang conversion ng $$$ ngayon!

Student Loans.

One of the limitations and a common problem that students often encounter is being cash-strapped. In difficult times like these, students sometimes do have a hard time saving money since they’re dependent on meager allowances given by their parents. They should worry no more especially students in the US since they can apply for TuitionWise student loans. As long as they’re eligible, they can take advantage of the perks that it offers like the check being sent directly, no payments required while in school, easy application and approval and can borrow up to $40,000 a year. Isn’t that great?

US, Here They Come.

My boss will be flying to US on Friday for a family vacation getaway. It’s her kids’ first time to travel there so she planned an itinerary that will surely delight (not to mention, tire) the kids. They’ll be staying and spending Christmas with a relative in San Francisco but they’ll also be side-tripping to Orlando to visit the Disney World. Their last stop would be Las Vegas to meet up with a friend and for her husband to try the casinos sprawled along the LV Boulevard. They are still, however, looking for cheap hotel Las Vegas deals since almost all of the rates they found are quite steep. Anyone knows of any good deals that I can recommend to them?

Christmas Freebies.

Time to hoard some Christmas-themed freebies! Thanks to my fellow bebots who redirected me to these download sites. Aren’t they all fabulous? I have downloaded tons today, I hope I get to make use of these really soon!

Hoping for a Bonus.

Our company-wide Christmas Party is scheduled on the 12th. It seems like I’ll be having a party-filled this week since our department will also be holding one on the 11th. Oh well, I love parties..especially during my favorite time of the year! I wonder if we will be surprised with a Christmas bonus this year…I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Based on the business performance management they initiated, the company performed very well especially in the third and last quarter of the year. Hmmm so all of us are really keeping our hopes high.

Package Surprise.

Yay! My dad just called from overseas and informed us that they just sent us a balikbayan box full of loots, sweets and kitchen goodies. They couldn’t celebrate Christmas with us this year but it’s just okay since they are scheduled to fly home by this coming February. Dad also promised that they’re bringing home with them another box. Ohh I just so love packages! I wonder what Dad and stepmom have stuffed on those. I’m so excited. I’ll have the box cutters come in handy and ready so once the package arrives anytime soon, we’re off to attack it..lolz!

Playful.

I am currently subscribed to Scrapartist’s daily newsletter. These past few days, I have been receiving their promo enabler…the 12 Days of Christmas. They have $2 items that are up for grabs exclusively for one day. The goodies are all fab but I purposely avoided sneaking a peek each time they send the daily newsletter because I know, I just won’t and I couldn’t resist. True enough, I accidentally clicked today’s goodie and lo behold…this item..this cutie, astonishing, colorful and terrific embellishments ended up in my cart..and here I am currently waiting for the download to end.

"Slimming" Wish List?

All the while I thought, our Department’s Christmas Party was yesterday. Since I have been on leave from work for two weeks, I wasn’t aware that it was postponed and moved this week until my colleague informed me last Tuesday. Yeah, right..at least, I still have time to buy a gift for our Kris Kringle. Luckily, my baby (the one I’ll be gifting) has posted her wish list and thank goodness, she isn’t giving me a hard time as I know where I’ll buy it. The others’ wish list is quite funny though. One’s seemingly all set to trim down her weight this holiday season. Her list includes diet pills, a certain brand of slimming tea and a fitness center GC. Hmmm, I think I already know who among my co-workers this is.

Get Well Soon.

A colleague of mine has been absent from work for almost a week already. His diabetic father is confined in the hospital due to some complications and she’s taking charge of the needs. She’s staying with him in the hospital since her mother is also too weak and too old to do so. Finances wise, my colleague isn’t that pressured since our company is taking care some of the hospital bills. Thanks to our medical benefits that are extended to our dependents. Further, his father applied before a high risk life insurance anticipating of his chronic sickness. I just wish he’ll get well so he’ll spend Christmas with his family.

Hong Kong Delight.

My colleague expressed how disappointed she is that their family Hong King trip will not push through this holiday month. Their travel agency wasn’t able to find and book them with any city hotels near Hong Kong Disneyland which her daughter is really looking forward to visit. I told her to try Hotel Reservations because the last time I checked, Disney Hollywood Hotel still has available rooms on the 19th onwards. I also informed her about the rates offered by the site and she got interested. “It’s one of the lowest rates I’ve heard”, she says. It seems like my colleague will still be able to travel with her family this holiday after all.

Jofia Rocks!

The Bebots are madly raving about this gallery in the forum. Curious and intrigued as I was, I checked it out right away and whew! I was blown away how adorable the goodies are. I only have two words for Jofia Devoe…you rock!

Here are just sample of her amazing works:

Garage Floor.

Hubby would always hang out in the garage during weekends, usually cleaning his Green Machine or tinkering and fiddling whatever he can hold of on the car’s machine. This morning was different though. It’s not the car that he’s so focused on but the garage area itself and that includes the garage floors. He’s a bit irked with the black oil stains as well as the cracks that start appearing. I am not sure about his action plans yet but knowing how OC he can become sometimes, I am sure, they’ll get fixed immediately.

More Freebies.

I got some more freebies to share in a while.

Wow..my external hard disk is already flooded with free downloads. I need to get a new one fast!

Growing and Expanding.

I heard that our company has started building our newest site. In fact, they’re already done with the phase 1 environmental assessment of the location. Our latest provincial site somewhere in Visayas isn’t fully constructed yet and here they are about to start a new one in the city. I’m glad over the investors’ confidence because this recent development only shows how our company has the capacity to shell out such big investments. Basing on the latest financial report, year to date sales and profits have been favorable. Yay! Are we also looking forward to a bigger Christmas bonus this year?

Gift Swap.

The Bebot Digiscrappers (online forum for the Pinay Digiscrappers worldwide) are having again a Christmas Gift Swap this year. It’s my first time to actually join and I’m so really excited. I haven’t decided though what to give my partner. She has posted her wish list on the forum but I’m having thoughts which among the three will make her the happiest. I likewise, posted my wish list and I can’t wait to know what I’d be receiving. I am sure the others are quite ecstatic as well and are really looking forward to the packages that will be delivered in our mail boxes before Christmas. Will let you know what I’ll be getting.

2008 Calendar Template Freebie.

Since Christmas is nearing which also means 2008 is just a few days away. Want to have your own digiscrapped 2008 calendar? Check out this freebie from Jessica Sprague (just finished downloading them!) and oh I am so excited to try them out. Haven’t figured out though which pictures I’ll plop on these templates. Don't forget to leave some love to Jessica for this wonderful gift if you snag them. Download them from here.

Impromptu Tournament.

Hubby sponsored last night an impromptu semi-tournament of DOTA in his computer shop. DOTA has been one of the most sought and played network games by the kids and teens here in the neighborhood. There were two teams who played with 4 players each. It’s my first time to see the shop filled with so many spectators who delightfully watched how the two teams tried to outlast each other. The players equally enjoyed the fast connection and smooth flow of the game. Thanks to the DSL that hubby recently subscribed to and of course, the powerful PC Dell Memory that he installed in each computer. The kids are looking forward again tonight since hubby’s planning to hold a tournament once more.
