Hotel Reservations.

I called up my reliever this morning to ask how she’s doing lately with work. It’s almost been a month since I took my leave and it’s been quite a while since I last heard from her. It’s good to hear that she’s doing well and there isn’t much load these past few days. Actually, the only thing that’s keeping her occupied today is the American Expats’ hotel accommodation in Manila. She’s quite having a dilemma coordinating it since the Expats’ preferred hotel isn’t accredited yet by the company thus, we don’t have a credit line and term with them. It’s just actually okay if the Expats pursue their preferred hotel since they have their purchasing credit cards anyway. I told my reliever to advise the Expats to book their accommodation via an online reservations agency through Hotel Reservations.

Nothing beats the hotel discounts and deals offered by Hotel Reservations. Just looking at their price matrix, they absolutely offer the most competitive rates as compared to other online reservations agency. Their user-friendly site is easy to navigate as well. All the hotel info and details are provided for easier comparison and browsing. They also have a wide hotel selection and options so you’re not left with limited choices.

Hotel Reservations is not actually limited to just hotel bookings. It’s actually a one stop shop for all your travel needs worldwide. Whichever continent and part of the world, your vacation needs are covered by their best travel deals. Whether you wish to arrange a flight, car rental, vacation rentals, motels, resorts…they have it all here, all at guaranteed lowest rates. Offering more than 70,000 properties worldwide, you’ll never run out of choices to book that perfect trip whether it be a leisure or business travel. Check out their site and start booking your next travel with them. Should you wish to talk with their hotel and travel experts, they can also be contacted 24/7 via their worldwide phone number at (1) 817-333-5105.

WW Turns One.

Have you heard the latest news in the digiscrapping world? One of my favorite digital scrapbooking shops is turning one and they're going to celebrate it big. One lucky purchaser gets to win the entire store and several gift cards will also be given away to random winners as well. They will also hold several games, challenges and freebie showers. Now isn't that big? Check out the banner below for more details.

Speaking of digital scrapbooking, I haven't digiscrapped still since Asher's home. Being a first timer Mom, I'm still adjusting big time with all the Mommy duties and baby's demands that have to be met. I have several photos of Baby A waiting to be scrapped but those have to wait. Sale enabler alerts are flooding my inbox but I intentionally shy away from them (which actually pleases my paypal wallet). I still do download freebies once in a while though. The latest I got were papers with a design like these Duralee fabrics. Aren't they lovely?

A Crib for Baby A.

After our brief stay at my folks' place in Makati, we're back home again here in my in-laws' place in Quezon City where Asher and I will most probably stay in the next two months. Baby Asher's is already two weeks old and with that, we're slowly adjusting and getting the hang of having a baby bit by bit. It is tough, definitely, but we're pretty doing good. We're practically settled with the things that he needs except for his baby crib. At first, we intentionally intended to postpone buying his crib for quite some time thinking that we would co-sleep for several months. We figured though that it would also better if he'll have his crib soon so he can have something mobile that he can rest on whether it be here in our room or downstairs (my in-laws' place is a two-storey house) during the day. Asher is so lucky since his grandmother will be gifting him a crib. Mother-in-law and hubby will go malling tomorrow to buy one at SM. We initially scouted there before and they have nice baby cribs selection. I'd rather have just the simple, inexpensive and light one so we can easily transfer it. I bet Baby A's going giddily excited as he sleeps tonight because of this gift.

Weekend Plans.

For my personal itinerary...none. For sure and automatically, I'll be a full time Mommy this weekend. We're slowly establishing our daily routines and I believe, we're on the right track. I'm glad that hubby is on day off so he gets to spend a little more time with his son...that spells extra help, too, in taking care of him. Baby A is scheduled for a check-up tomorrow noon. So other than that, no concrete going out plans for me. I'm just not sure if hubby will go along with Mommy on Sunday to buy Baby A's crib. The excited grandmother will be gifting him a crib and a bath tub. I overheard also that she's going to buy the laptop she saw at SM Annex that is on sale and HDMI cables for the computer shop's server printer.

How about you..what are your weekend plans?

The Week That Was.

I can't actually believe that it's already Friday today and another busy week has passed. I guess I'm just pretty hooked up and into so much attending to my Baby A's needs that I'm losing track of time. Oh well, it's been a week since we took home Baby A and it was tough yet fulfilling. Glad we survived the first week of adjustment and we know that there's still a long way to go. We're far from getting the hang of it but we know we'll get there.

Weeks before I gave birth, I thought that we have all Baby A's needs covered but oh boy, we were wrong. There were things that we didn't foresee we'd be needing so hubby had to rush several times to the drugstore, grocery, and even hardware. For instance, the sterilizer and my breastpump has a different type of plug and a converter is needed for it to be compatible to our two-holed electric plugs. Then, hubby and mother-in-law also have to rush to the outdoor furniture shop nearby to buy a small top table which serves as a bedside table.

We've also had our own dose of sleepless nights series already. This week has been tiring but just a glimpse at our little bundle of joy paves away all the hardships endured.

Happy Women's Day!

March 8 is International Women's Day! This year the United Nations (UN) is focusing on "Investing in Women and Girls".

So to all my lady readers out there..may you always inspire others and Happy Women's Day!

Crib Hunting.

We haven't bought a crib for our dear Baby Asher still. We have started looking at SM last week but we were quite surprised of how pricey cribs and playpens are nowadays. There's one particular brand and design that we wanted but unfortunately, it's the last stock and has already been reserved so we got no choice but make a reservation for their arriving stocks. But I'm not sure if we'll still get it since a friend of mine informed us that she knows of a wholesale company that we can do a directbuy of the said brand and design at a retailer price. We can save big and in addition to that, it has a nice payment scheme, too. Hope we can close this deal by next week.

Mesothelioma.

On our way out of the hospital a while ago, we overheard a couple in the elevator talking about the ailment of the person they visited in the hospital. They say it's mesothelioma. I got curious so I did a little research about it. It is actually a rare but serious type of cancer. Its target is the mesothelium tissue which lines the lungs, stomach, heart and other organs. According to wikipedia, it usually starts in the lungs and those who have worked on jobs where they inhaled particles of asbestos are the usual victims. Treatment includes surgery, radiation, chemotherapy or all of the above at the same time.

Seeing A New Discovery.

I could consider that I'm lucky in terms of having a healthy pair of eyes. I have a normal vision and haven't had any problems of poor-sightedness. I hope I could maintain it that way until I grow old. My sister, on the other hand, is not as blessed as me. She's diagnosed with astigmatism when she was in sixth grade and didn't get better from then on. I'm just not sure how high the grades of her eyes are but she's been wearing contact lens for quite some time now. There are times, however, that she prefers to wear eyeglasses so it could also go with her fashion. I told her about Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses and she instantly liked the stylish designs that they have. She's actually planning to try and order one from Great Discovery: Zenni Optical. I'm sure the Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical's services will highly please my sister's needs and taste.

On Digital Scrapbooking.

Wow, I just realized that I have been into digital scrapbooking for two years already. Contrary to others who started with paper scrapping prior jumping into digital, I right away went digital upon the influences of some of my fellow 2005 brides at a wedding e-group. I was so enamored of their works that I tried doing it myself. First, I attended a free tutorial on Adobe Photoshop basics at a nearby computer school then everything else followed. My first digital site was Digitalscrapbookplace. It is in there that I started up and downloaded freebies and joined challenges. Then a few months later, I got hooked with other digital sites then I just found myself madly purchasing kits onwards. From simple and basics techniques, I learned the semi-complicated ones through tutorials online. I could say that I'm no an expert digiscrapper yet but I'm just glad that I got better over the years. In fact, several friends have even asked me to create baptismal and birthday party invitations for them and they were overly satisfied. Now with the coming of our dear Baby A, I'm sure he'd now be mostly the subject of my digiscraps.

High School Memory.

I just received an e-mail from my sister who's also a UST High School alumna just like me and I can't help but put a wide grin on my face. The email says:

Select your batch from the drop down menu and see how silly you look when you graduated in HS, hahahaha

This is actually a site set for the alumni of our dear school, University of Santo Tomas High School. I'm quite stoked how they managed to make online all of the batches' yearbook. As I browse each page, countless and joyous flashbacks entered my mind. The nostalgic high feeling brought back the fondest memory of my High School days. We may all look silly on our graduation pictures but I could say that High School days were one of my life's best years.

Just Enough.

I weighed exactly 105 pounds onset my pregnancy then ended at 129-pound mark. A total of 24 pounds increase was just enough according to my OB doctor and personally, I'm quite proud and satisfied with the weight gain I had. Just enough, I could say. Not that much and within the limit. For someone like me who's always on the petite and slender side, I'm actually loving my built and weight now so contrary to others who'd love to get back to shape after giving birth, I won't be needing any weight loss pills. I'll watch on my diet though as I might continue to balloon and lose control.

Business Loans.

My sister called me up yesterday and asked me if I knew of a cooperative or a bank where he can business loans for his computer businesses. She wishes to expand (buy new units) and is thinking of having his place renovated to accommodate the expansion. I am also actually clueless but I told her to scour the web for a good lender institution just like Accommodative Financial Solutions. Their services are remarkable: fast approvals (24-48 hours), no documents required, no application fee nor hidden charges, lowest business loans interest rates, and no collateral needed. They also have this guarantee where one can have their consulting services for free if they don't get approved. Hope my sister can find a similar business loans consulting company locally.

Missing the TnT.

I can't believe that I missed ScrapArtist's Totally New Tuesday! Arggh! I checked out their new releases and it breaks my heart that I missed their mark-down 20% discount sale that is good for Tuesday only. I better schedule this on my organizer so I won't miss next week's TnT.

Poker Calculator.

Last night, my younger brother was in a bad mood. He played online poker but out of so many chances that he had, he never won. I told him to download and use a poker calculator from MagicHoldem. It's actually a card game product where one can have the most accurate odds poker, best online poker strategy and offers, designed and created with the help of the poker professional experts out there. Their site is secured and accepts almost all type of payments from paypal to major credit cards. Should you need more info about strategy poker, you better head to this site and check it out.

The Secret Is Out.

For those digital scrapbookers like me, here's some good news from Computerscrapbook.com. Check out this downloadable e-book for the ultimate digital scrapbooking sites available on the web. No need to scour on your own as the secret is out..now that's a nice surprise, isn't it?

Now that Baby A and I have limited to scrap, I bet this will come handy during my digiscrapping time. It's debuting for $ 7.99 only. I'll have this one and let you know my comments. I bet my friend from San Francisco will also be delighted to hear about this.

Some Bad News.

I really felt bad when I heard that life of a former classmate of mine went berserked and has to undergo addiction treatment. I can't believe that he can actually do that as I've known him to be a nice, jolly, smart and strong person. Way back elementary years, he was even one of the brightest in class and even considered as one of the top leaders in our batch. I heard he got deranged over some family coupled with career problems. I wish him well on his treatment and hope he recovers soon.

Play Slots.

Do you play online slots? If yes, then this site is for you. Log in at Sloterix.com for the best gaming experience in playing slots machine. Honestly, I haven't tried playing this in the casino nor online but I would love to try my luck. I'm quite unfamiliar though on which top casino to play. Luckily, sloterix has this feature on their site where I get to choose the casino who offers the highest payouts, bonuses and ratings. Now truly, that is one authentic gaming experience. Check out this site and play slots, too!

Tanked Up High.

We're pretty stoked and practically running out of breath with the events that are fastly unfolding in our lives these days. And of course the biggest adventure is the coming of our dear Baby Asher. Honestly, I'm still high and tanked up. Can't believe that we're already realizing the long time dream that we've been aspiring..parenthood, that is. We can finally call ours a family now that we're complete. Concrete family goals have now also been lined up. Among our priorities is our house hunting. Luckily, our "ninong" is offering us help in finding a good property deal. He says he knows a real estate developer who offers similar to that of Branson rentals properties. Hubby and I are both excited over this news. We can't wait to have our place of own also.

Online Backgammon.

I've recently blogged about my interest in learning how to play the backgammon game. Hubby found another interesting site where I can become versed and grasped the idea of this game. I checked out this online backgammon site and he's right. It truly is informative. Visit gammon-fortune.com for the complete and best backgammon strategies and tips. It is actually among the top-rated online casinos today. The site offers cash back promotions, sign-up offers, and bonuses from time to time. I've already downloaded the free software so wish me luck as I start to play backgammon.

He's Finally Here!

Asher's Birth Announcement

Yup! I have given birth. Check out my update on my main blog.

So Busy and Hyped.

I have to catch my breath for a while.

I'm caught amidst digiscrapping, doing some online tasks, flickring and bloghopping.

My weekend's gonna be a busy one.

See yah in a while.

Online Backgammon.

I have always heard about backgammon but admittedly, I'm one of those who doesn't know how to play one. I am familiar with some board games like chess and checkers, which as they say, has almost similar logic with that of backgammon.

Since I'm pretty much bored these days, I decided to google this game and came upon this online backgammon site, mistergammon.com. It says it's the world's largest backgammon club. The curiosity in me made me browse the site and here are some of my comments. The site is attractively designed. I love the colorful blinking images that easily catch one's attention. It's informative as well with all the details and terms that's in their get started link. Lucky for those who play online backgammon as they could scour here for free tips and strategies as well. I'd love to try this one. I just had one more query though which I'll just email to their 24/7customer support rep.

DS No. 89: The 1st Sign - 2 Pink Lines.

Since Baby A doesn't want to come out yet, I'm into digiscrapping all my pregnancy memories and photos. I've done some in the past few months but I have to make several more as I plan to have it printed...perhaps make it into a photobook.

Here's the one I whipped last night:

The 1st Sign: 2 Pink Lines

Now excuse me for a while, I'll go and text my friend who resides in vancouver washington. I bet she'll be delighted to hear that I'm nearing my due date.

Online Billiard Site.

The hubby and my younger brother share several interests and one of them is playing anything online, whether online multi-masive RPGs, online billiards, fantasy games, etc. Whenever they see each other, their bonding moments would always include discussion on the latest updates, craze and tips.

I've heard recently that they are trying a new site for online pool games, the billiardmagic.com. I checked it out and couldn't agree more with their review. My impression? I like how the site is designed...simple, uncluttered with unnecessary links. The site's overall theme is alluring, tempting even those who are not really into playing online billiard like me to give it a try. Their site is very informative as well. If you're practically new to playing such online games, their tips and getting started features are of great help. You better check it out, too. Be cautious though, as you might get hooked!

The Mojos Have Returned.

Yay! Finally, the purchased digiscrapping goodies will be put in use.

Watch out for a Layout share soon!

The Runway Project.

Another American-adapted-reality-tv-show will hit the Philippine Television some time this early 2008. Will be aired through the ETC Entertainment Central Cable Channel, Project Runaway Philippines held its audition earlier this year and I bet lots of fashion designer hopefuls tried their luck on this. I was able to watch some episodes (including the final round) of the premier season of America’s Project Runway in which the gay, Jay McCarroll emerged as the winning designer. I actually love the concept of this reality tv series where fashion designers try to make their names resonate in the industry by creating the best clothes given in each challenge. They are usually confined with limited time, materials and theme as they try to outdo and eliminate each other weekly.

I wonder how the local version would do it. Will it be as close as the American TV show or will it be another almost-but-not-quite thing just like the Philippine Next Top Model aired last year? Who will stand as our local version of the supermodel host Heidi Klum, who has practically experienced the best fashions in the industry? And who will be the rightful judges who will adjudicate ala-Tim Gunn, a department chairman at Parsons which is a reputed fashion school in new york. Oh well, let’s just see and find out.

I just hope that the brains behind the local show have the befitting fashion expertise and competence. One whose fashion dexterity wasn’t restricted within the local industry but preferably his aptness is acquired from the best fashion worlds abroad. Probably it would help if they’ll attend or be trained in new york fashion schools. New York is the world’s most happening fashion destination. If a contestant in the show still can, attending a crash course in fashion schools new york would surely make him a run-away winner.
