Random Thoughts on a Monday Night.

I'm nearing my "totally pissed off" meter mark. My other site's server is acting up since Saturday and my temperament is running a bit low. I do hope that my host server will get this addressed as soon as possible. Otherwise, I'm not going to renew my subscription with them anymore.

On another news, I'm running a countdown towards my being SAHM (stay at home mom) soon. It's just 7 working days to go then I'm permanently out of the office. I'm so excited to be with my little darling 24/7.

Still on another news, stepmom will be coming home from abroad on Sunday. She's asking if we can fetch her from the airport. Unfortunately, hubby and I will accompany my in-laws to buy their laptop as well as some air tools which they'll use to refurbish rooms of the kindergarten school they own. Anyway, she hasn't much baggages in tow so I guess she's just going to hail a taxi cab.

How Creative Are You?

You Are 71% Creative

You are beyond creative. You are a true artist - even if it's not in the conventional sense of the word.

You love creating for its own sake, and you find yourself quite inspired at times.

No New LOs.

Aside from the reason that I’m already back at work, I haven’t digiscrapped in the past few days because I’m out of new kits to work on. Well, I purposely hinder myself from scouring my favorite digital scrapbooking shops so I won’t be tempted to shop. My paypal and my savings accounts haven’t recovered yet with my splurging during the National Scrapbooking Day. Probably, I’d just be contented with freebies while I freeze my shopping at the moment.

Layouts Share.

Wondering what's up with me lately? Well, take a look at these layouts and you'll know what kept me busy these past few days.

Yes..my mojos are back and kicking. Finally, my digiscrapping mood is back that I managed to scrap at least one layout a day this week. At least, I'm putting to use all my NSD purchases, right?

On another note, I'm a bit gloomy that I'm going back to work next week after two months of absence. My maternity leave of 60 days and sick leave due to my cholecystectomy (1 week) are fully consumed so here I am, seeing myself dragging myself heavily to the office on Monday. Arggh, I'm dreading this day when it'd mean that I'm gonna spend less time with my baby. My "me" time (read as relaxing time) is likewise reduced..probably even gone. Now I'm just not sure if I can scrap madly as I'm doing now. How I wish time flies fast forward to June fast. Hubby and I have major plans drawn that would affect my career and our family.

I have to go for the mean time. I need to review the franchise proposal sent by a friend of mine.

QOTW 17.

I'm answering Yen's questions this week:

1. When was the last time you kissed someone? Who was it?
I just kissed my little boy.

2. Last time you went to the movies? What movie?
It's been a while since I watched a movie.

2. Do you turn off your cellphone/s when you’re in a movie house?
I put it in a silent mode.

3. Do you cursed?
No.

4. Do you often have nightmares?
Sometimes. The last time was the other day. I was being chased by a monster-like, talking teak furniture. Creepy!

5. Who’s your crush?
The husband. Lolz.

6. Do you drive? When’s your license expires?
I don't.

7. Are you afraid of dying? Why and Why not?
Honestly, yes. Probably because I’m not ready to leave my loved ones yet.

8. Do you like to party? Why or Why not?
Yes.

9. Last time you said “I love you’? To whom?
To my son…just a few minutes ago.

10. Last time you exercised? Gym or house?
Hmmm…is walking considered an exercise? If yes, I just did..here in the house.

A New Earth.

While waiting for my webhost technical support to address my blog migration concern, I searched online for recent book topsellers and book reviews and here's what I stumble upon. A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle seems interesting. Buy.com says: "It's illuminating, enlightening, and uplifting, A New Earth is a profoundly spiritual guide to creating a better way of living and a better world to live in". Browse Oprah's Book Club site and you'll see that it's one of their selections. A lot has read this book and testified that their lives transformed and were awakened.

Quite interesting...I might include this to my To-Read Book Selection List.

Dreaming On.

Whenever the husband and I pass by the new subdivision built near ours, we’d always stare at the newly constructed mini-mansions, sigh and talk about our plans of owning a place that can be called ours. As our current setup of living with our parents work at the moment (talk about savings on rentals and bill expenses), we sometimes can’t help but dream and think of the comfort of having your own house. I would ask the hubby what if we braved the situation and availed a unit when it was first offered to us, it’d be nice he says but he’s just not sure how we could be coping with the mortgage expenses now. Well, we’ll get there in the future. For the mean time, it’s never too early to start visualizing our would-be house. In fact, I’ve started searching in furniture shops for outdoor furniture we could put in the patio. The husband prefers outdoor wood furniture while I favor modern and contemporary ones such as these.

ISO: Coffee Addict Kit.

I am about to do a digiscrap layout of a colleague who's a coffee addict to bits. So addicted to the point that she can already be a stockholder of the coffee shop in our building. A day isn't complete for her without gulping at least one grande size of mocha frap.

Anyone knows of a digishop where I can purchase a coffee-related kit with embellishments like espresso machines, coffee mugs or tumblers, coffee grains, brewers, etc?

Summer Heat.

It's so freaking hot that I'm perspiring like I've jogged around the village all day long. I love summer but it's one thing that I hate about it. It literally makes me want to dip all day long in the pool, experience the cool breeze of Baguio or enjoy the beach, sun bathe and imagine of caribbean cruises. Wow..that would be cool.

Post-NSD Sales.

I was googling for discount furniture when I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking shops having post-National Scrapbooking Day sales.

If you failed to snag these during the NSD, you better grab them now. This kit from We Are Storytellers is marked down 78% off while this element from the same shop is marked down at 50% off.

(I'm having trouble uploading the preview images so please just click on the links.)

My apologies for enabling..I just can't help sharing this. Isn't this a good post -NSD loot?

Scrapfest 5.

For those scrapbooking enthusiasts out there, here's a tidbit I got from the ScrappingMoms:

Event: Scrapfest 5
Date: May 17, 2008
Time: 9:30am-6:00pm
Place: Max's Restaurant, Scout Tuazon Branch, QC

It's a fun-filled day of scrapping, shopping and chatting with fellow scrapbookers and suppliers. There are several activities and promotions on the line. As admission is limited to 120 slots only, hurry and reserve your tickets now. Ticket admission is inclusive of several freebies and coupons:

* A mini album kit to complete during the hands-on workshop
* A Scrapfest challenge kit
* A lunch and snack coupon
* A raffle coupon
* Use of various materials for stamping and embossing, as well as use of die-cutting machines and other scrapping materials (i.e. safety cutters, scissors, etc)
* Access to special discounts offered by the scrapbooking suppliers
* A slot to various demonstrations during the day

Check out the enticing joining promos that they have on their site.

NSD's Over.

National Scrapbooking Day is certainly over and what it left me are:
1. 1.89 GB purchased and free digiscrapping goodies
2. a "holed" paypal wallet
3. pressure to scrap my stashed photos in my external hard disk

Now I need to make up the cost that depleted my paypal and of course, I do have to make use of these goodies. I bet the designers are smiling big with their earnings as they do some Business valuation. The husband's encouraging me to venture into designing for business. I told him I don't have the expertise and enough skill yet to do that...in the future, perhaps.

Happy NSD!

I have to relax and take a breath for a moment. I've been hopping and flipping digishops and forums madly since yesterday, trying soooo much not to be enabled and shop and excitingly hunting for the cutest freebies that are up for grabs. Everyone is so busy doing their shopping from their fave digital scrapbooking sites and participating in sponsored fun and games at DST and MSA.

So what loots did I get? A lot! I actually need to allot some time to organize the kits I purchased and got for free before I can digiscrap again. I think I still have time this noon to do that. We're supposed to attend the Sunday mass this morning but the little one (and the Mom) woke up late. Because of that we also have to postpone our planned malling to next weekend instead. We're buying the little man some stuffs and new blinds for the room.

For the mean time, I have to go and check out some more goodies to add to my stuffs. See yah around.

NSD This Weekend.

It's National Scrapbooking Day once again and what better way to celebrate it than shop with the biggest sales and discounts and participate in contests, chats and activities in the best digishops out there.

I am listing in here some of my fave shops where I have already filled my carts with kits...ready to hit the checkout button on NSD.

1. Kay Miller Designs - 30% off on May 1 - 3 (cart filled with 7 items)
2. Nitwit Collections - 30.5% off on May 2 - 3 (cart filled with 4 items)
3. Sweet Shoppe Designs - cart stuffed with 1 mega kit
4. The Lilypad - 30% off (cart filled with 4 items)

I have to cut the list or else my paypal gonna hurt big time.
