Scrapping Idea 101: Make Fluffy Famous.

My in-laws' cat Margie amused me this morning while I ate my breakfast. She was sleeping soundly on the counter when she suddenly jerked, lost her balance and fell off the counter's edge. Cats do dream too, don't they? It must probably be a nightmare or some dream in which she's on top of a very high edge and got rattled of the height. Lolz. Poor Margie..but guess what? She climbed back on the counter and dozed off again. Actually that's her favorite sleeping spot that even if my in-laws get him a cat condo, she'd still prefer that special nook. Too bad, I wasn't able to capture the said moment on photo or video.

Speaking of cats, calling all the cat-lovers-scrappers out there, jumpstart your layout inspirations with your very own fluffy pets. Yes, direct the spotlight to your cats with this Make Fluffy Famous Scrapping Guide. For only $24.95, you'll own a full set of Digital Scrapbooking templates, a full set of Paper Scrapbooking templates, plus a full set of papers and embellishments. Also contains a video tutorial on how to remove "pet eye!". Start "making your fluffy famous" by picking up the guide here.

Rare Coins Investment.

I'm so itching to shop but my Paypal wouldn't allow me to do so since I've just transferred funds. Yes, my wallet is penniless. I need to work so I can earn and invest in a project. I might get my rare gold coins collection out and do business with it.

I searched online for hard asset investment dealer and that's how I came to know about Monaco Rare Coin. Part of the Monex family of companies and has been a trusted dealer for over four decades. If you need rare coin trade experts, they're the team to be trusted. They are adept and skilled in locating the best and high-quality rare coins available at the most irresistible deals and prices. By the way, they're not just limited to rare coins but they also trade other precious metals such as silver, platinum bullion and bullion coins.

Three Things.

I got this from Alpha, the Memes and Tags Queen.

Three things that scare me:
death, accidents, and snakes.

Three people who make me laugh:
Paul, Asher and Manny Pooh-quiao (lolz!)

Three Things I love:
online "me" time, beach, KFC

Three Things I hate:
sloowww internet connection, mosquitoes, bullies

Three things on my desk:
laptop, notebook and pen

Three things I’m doing right now:
blogging, surfing and twittering

Three things I can do:
I can eat much without gaining extra weight, breastfeed and blog at the same time, and what else?

Three ways to describe my personality:
moody, sympathetic, sensitive

Three things I can’t do:
drive, swim and what else? Bleh...am running out of thoughts.

Cost of Living.

Kathy asked me our monthly expenses and here it goes.

- How much is your electricity bill monthly? Water?
–Our average consumption cost monthly is around Php 2,000 - 3,000. But since it’s so hot these days, it shoot up to Php 5,500 because of AC at night and electric fans running 24/7. Manila Water bills us Php 400-600 monthly. Drinking water’s about Php 600.

- Association dues, if condo?
– P100/monthly for the home owners association of the village

- Other utilities / Salaries / Other expenses?
cellphone (me & hubby) - Php 1000 / month (line and prepaid)
internet/landline - Php 3000 - 4000 (inclusive of international long distance calls)
Sky Cable - Php 635 / month
Yaya - Php 3000 / month
All Around Maid - Php 3000 / month
Fuel Expenses - Php 4000
Life Insurance - Php 24000 / yr (for me and hubby)
Car Insurance - Php 12000 / yr

- Groceries? Market?
groceries: Php 5,000 / month
market: Php 6,000 / month
baby milk: Php 700 / month (Asher’s exclusively breastfed so the formula's just on standby)
diapers and other necessities : Php 1000 / month (we don’t spend much on diapers because the little one uses briefs lately during the day and diapers at night lang)

Whew! I guess we better review our budgeting and planning strategy. We aren't earning much but I know we'll get to earn more savings if we can manage better our expenses.

Kaboodling at Amazon.

I was up all night the other day as I got engrossed with browsing Amazon and updating my Kaboodle. Well, usually my Kaboodle contains my whims and purchases of Digital Scrapbooking goodies but this time, I found myself searching baby stuffs for Asher. I'm so amused looking at all the baby goods in the store - ranging from layettes, kiddie furniture, baby bath stuffs, toys and other things. Check out the slideshow below what I've marked as favorites and hope to buy when some savings are alloted for such.

I'd be browsing some shops shortly for new pocket watches. This is what a friend wishes for her birthday soon.

Blue Lotus.

I have encountered a flowery-themed kit yesterday and I find it cool as there are different kinds of blue flowers in it including a so-called blue lotus. I tried researching about this flower further online and this is what I've found.

Blue Lotus is actually a common name of Nelumbo nucifera and is classified as ethnobotanical just like Hawaiian Baby Woodrose and Morning Glory. Ethnobotanical is a term used for plants that possess healing properties. You may further see details and shop blue lotus which comes in the form of oil at Iamshaman.com. This absolute oil is made without harsh chemical and and is made in strictly controlled and sterile environment just like the other botanical specimens sold in their store which are used for archival, ornamental, herbarium specimen, or as incense components purposes. One thing that's admirable with this shop is their cause to support the organic herbal farmers or indigenous tribes in the Brazilian Rainforests, Africa, and elsewhere. Shop in there to share and support their cause.

Pickleberrypop Buzz.

Have you heard about the latest buzz at Pickleberrypop? Here's the good news you don't want to pass up...Coralie Designs is debuting there and all her products are 25% off on her grand opening sale starting now through the 20th!

I checked out her store and oh boy, who couldn't resist these products.

I think there's one more in the store that includes wonderfully extracted san francisco flower. I just have to check my paypal balance if it can still spare a few bucks for that kit.

Handy Medical Reference Guide.

Calling all doctors and health care professionals out there. Do you know that there's a free medical PDA software that can aid you in making prescribing decisions so easily and convenient? Yes, all you have to do is check out Epocrates.com and download the free mobile drug and formulary reference. With it, you can have an easy access on information about drug dosing, interactions and adverse reactions, and even its retail pricing. It also has a feature of checking the interation between two drugs, safety alerts and news on drug recalls. This is really one helpful guide at doctors' fingertips. These are compatible, by the way, with PDAs, smartphones, blackberry and soon with iPhone and other Mac devices.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all Dads out there!

To my beloved Papa who's in a desert land and thousand miles away from us, I love you so much!

To my other Papa, my father-in-law, happy father's day po!

And of course, to my dear husband...Asher and I are so grateful to have you in our lives. Thank you for everything that you do for us. We love you so much! (We love you right up to the moon -- and back) :)

Love You Dad

Hope you enjoyed the family's special lunch treat for you. In addition, since the car insurance is due this week, the "bill" is on me..okay?

Click on the pic to view the credits on my flickr.

Drooling No More.

Okay..I gave in. In connection with my previous entry, the impulsive key found its way to my paypal and unlocked its scrimping state. I really couldn't resist buying the collab kit of Lauren Grier and Mikkel Paige entitled Big Fish Little Fish. Well, no regrets actually. The stuffs are worth more than it's price so it's still such a big steal. Stay tuned for my next entry where I used a sample card from the kit.

Meanwhile, I have to go and respond to some mortgage lenders' emails.

Drooling.

Aren't these kits lovely..and tempting if I may add? I'm really wanting to stuff these in my shopping cart at Sweet Shoppe Designs but my paypal wallet isn't permitting me to do so. I've locked it up (as if it can be done, huh?) since I'm on scrimping mode.

Asher went on a swimming escapade last weekend and these kits are definitely nice for his pics. I love the swimming shorts, suits, the sun and vintage sunglasses elements of the Heat Wave Kit. The Big Fish Little Fish Kit is really awesome, too. Asher and hubby has a nice pic taken while they're swimming and the kit theme is very apt especially that it's Father's Day on Sunday. Hmmm, let's see if the magic key find its way to unlock my paypal wallet. Lolz.

Hot Finds: Shabby Cottage

I'll be starting a new tag in this digiscrapping nook and I'll label it as Hot Finds. Every now and then, I'll be featuring my recent digiscrapping stuff discoveries - whether it's a purchase or just a freebie..and I shall also post my layout/s on which I used the said stuff.

So with my first one, here's Shabby Cottage which is the very first site collab of the ShabbyPickleDesigns designers. Check it out now as it's for sale at 60% off its regular price.

Here's the layout I did with this fantabulous kit:

Title: To Kiss

To Kiss.

Meanwhile I'll go ahead and search for techie and gadgets themed kit which I'll use to scrap my Father's Day layout for my dear hubby. Anyone knows where I can buy element packs with playstation 3, computers, iPods, cellphones, etc?

Detoxify.

My sister's getting married a few months from now and just like any other bride, she worries about her weight and built a lot. Of course every bride wants to look good..sexy and alluring in her bridal gown. She's not that plump actually but she has a tendency to gain weight fast that's why she's watching her diet real close. I suggested that she enroll in a gym class so she can be guided thoroughly then supplement it with an Orovo detox. According to recent studies, the main underlying cause of weight gain are toxins that's why there is a need to expel these out of one's system.

Moving Out.

Just three working days to go then I'm finally out. I'm not yet through with the transition and tasks turnover to my team but by hook or by crook I'm going to finish everything by Wednesday so I won't have to come back or be bothered while I'm on my terminal leave. This reminds me, I better start packing up my things as well. It's not that I have tons of things to bring home needing a mover or a cargo truck but I'd rather be organized than leave some things behind. Speaking of movers, a friend of mine is relocating to the suburbs just near NY and she needs assistance moving her things. Do you know of dependable and credible movers New York who can help her relocate without much hassle?

The Lappy Search Continues.

For four consecutive Saturdays, we always find our feet heading to SM Cyberzone. Primary reason was to buy my brother-in-law a new cellphone and the secondary reason is to canvass mom-in-law's laptop. But this laptop search just makes the husband drool for a laptop himself and is actually near to giving in that he might really buy one too. I think he's eyeing a Neo Empriva laptop. I forgot the particular model he mentioned but all I remember is that it has a fairly fast processor, a reliable ram, price is within the budget and some other specs which sounds pompous to a non-techie person like me. He's okay with it however, he's just validating and researching further as he heard a negative feedback on Neo laptops from his colleague. I told him to check it over the internet so we would seek other options if in case, there really seem to be a con with such.
