Afternoon Giggles.

I'm itching to buy this kit from Lliella entitled, Afternoon Giggles, but as I'm on scrimping mode lately, this has to sit on my shopping cart for a while my Paypal wallet replenishes. I just so love the colors of the papers and elements, even though it may appear too girly because of the pink hue, I can still manage to use it with a few of my lil boy pics.

The kit is packed with so many goodies:
12 textured papers
1 flowers and circles border
1 paper cloud
6 hand-drawn paper flowers
2 hand-drawn paper leaves
1 hand-drawn paper stem with leaves
3 paper frames with ribbons
3 plain paper frame with colored mat
1 paper-pieced house
1 paper window with flowers
1 12" striped ribbon
3 threaded buttons
1 stacked paper circles with button
3 hand-stitchings
2 twill ribbon wrap with eyelet
4 paper tags with leather cord
3 paper-pieced cupcakes
1 paper-pieced teapot
2 paper-pieced teacups
1 paper-pieced saucer
1 paper-pieced table
2 paper-pieced chairs
2 cute dollies

and for just $5.50, it's definitely a nice steal. Don't you agree?

And if it's not enough yet, look what Lliella complemented this kit with: Afternoon Giggles Add-on Mini Kit.

6 textured papers
3 dollies (2 skin colors each)
2 dollies (darker skin version of the dollies included in the full kit)
5 sets of alpha (uppercase, numbers and ?!&*')
1 scalloped paper frame
2 word-arts

What I love most about these adorable kits? The Alphas and the cupcake embellishments..they appear yummy with all the sweet candy sprinkles. Definitely, oozing with sweetness.

Wish List: Dany Boy {the kit}

Denise Liemert of Sunshine Studio Scraps came up with one of the nicest boy kits I've ever seen. Entitled, Dany Bot Kit, it is filled with lotsa elements that are sure fun to play with. It is inspired by the Denise's dear son, Daniel and is so perfect for all boy pages and crafts. If only I didn't withdraw my paypal yesterday, this kit would have been purchased and should've been played with already..have tons of my little one's pics playing and this kit is very apt with the theme. For just $5.99, this is quite a steal. For now, this goes to my Wish List.

The kit includes:
- 07 patterned papers 12x12 inches
- 06 solid papers 12x12 inches
- 01 border
- 04 bows
- 02 boys
- 04 brads
- 03 fun circles
- 05 felt toys
- 01 frame
- 03 dough puzzle pieces
- 01 staple
- 02 deko stars
- 03 tabs
- 04 wordarts (boy, boys, fun and play)

NSBR: Cow's Milk and Acne.

I just came across an interesting article over the web about drinking cow's milk and acne. It says that a recent study concluded, for some reason, a cow's milk MAY be linked to acne. It says that the over-production of testosterone-like hormones in your body may be triggered by it, hence, it causes your skin to break out due to creation of more oil by the skin. In addition, the iodine given to cows to prevent infections may aggravate acne once one drinks the milk. So what to do? Ask your doc if you should cut down dairy products intake along with the prescription and acne treatments for a month. Who would've thought that your afternoon double cappuccino is a surprising saboteur of your skin?

Teacher's Pet Round 4 Freebies.

And so I'm back sooner than I think. I can't wait to share the buzz that the Round 4 of Teachers Pet Freebies at Funky Playground Designs is up. The list isn't complete yet (I think) so check out the gallery often for new uploads. You have to be logged in to download the freebies. For now, this is what's for download so far.

Meanwhile, while I download these gorgeous freebies, anyone knows where I can search for cheap weight benches? Nope, it's not for me. The hubby is asking me to find one for him. He needs to remove those unwanted flabs and get back to his old good shape.

Template Freebies.

It's midweek already and as always I'm taken aback how time flies in a blink of an eye. Don't you agree? So anyway, I'll be sharing my midweek freebie finds and this time, it'll all be about templates. Templates are fun and easy to use especially if you're running out of new ideas on how to go about your layout's design. You may use the template as is or you may also re-arrange the format according to your liking. When using templates, the clipping mask Photoshop tool is a must-use technique. Please refer to this tutorial for your guide.

Here's a sample of a layout I did using Aja's template. Aja Abney has cool templates in her shop, please do check it out.

Never Knew Love

Now on to the freebie finds:

1. Template by Lindsay Riches 2. Template by Janel Scraps 3. Template No. 21 by No Reimer Reason

I'll try to be back later with a few more freebie finds and hopefully a new layout, too. I just have to research about term life and consider of availing one.

Branson Getaway.

Finally, I've disconnected my Yahoo Messenger from a two-hour long chat session with a friend. It's been a while since we last got in touch so that explains the prolonged discussion. We've talked so much about the recent happenings in our lives. Me about my son's birth and her about their house move and their family vacation in Missouri.

She showed me through photo sharing their getaway pictures in Branson and they had a blast. Makes me want to include it in my travel destination wish list in US. She has a picture taken in the Titanic Museum which houses a magnificent building built to 1/2 scale that recreates the look of the sunken ship. They also went to several attractions like the State Park Marina, Dogwood Canyon Nature Park and even attended the recently held Annual Hydroplane Races. What I'm intrigued most are the thrilling rides and attractions in Silver Dollar City. My friend kept on babbling how she enjoyed the rollercoaster ride. Other things to check out in Branson are the circus and variety shows. Branson wouldn't get its monicker as the "Live Music Capital of the World" for nothing. Their world-famous performers are definitely talented and show-stoppers. Check out their site for further info on their affordable vacation packages for as low as $457/couple. You may also customize it according to your preference.

Now I'm off to find the perfect vacation-themed kit. I saved some of her photos which I'll digiscrap and surprise her with.

Shopping Spree.

Our long weekend was a blast and we ended it yesterday with a shopping spree...not for us but for the little one. We braved the 12 noon heat yesterday as we drove to the mall after lunch. The auto air conditioning wasn't of big help and it felt like just a blower. Thank goodness, it's just a short drive to the mall so we're immediately cooled and refreshed. Look what we've got for the little boy:

Sunday Freebie Finds.

Happy Sunday everyone! So how did your weekend go? Well, for us here, we're enjoying a long weekend because tomorrow is a Non-working Holiday in celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day. It was a relaxing weekend since we just chilled and stayed at home. Tomorrow though will be different as hubby promised that we'll go malling. I'm looking forward to that since I have a few baby items that I need to buy for my little A: diapers, a soothing teether, a new set of pajamas (he's outgrown most of his pj's), a new baby bedding and birthday gifts for two parties that we'll be attending next week.

Meanwhile, let me leave you some freebie loots I stumbled upon today. As always, please don't forget to thank the designers. **Click on the image to proceed to the DL link.

Friday Freebie Loots.

It's Friday and what better way to wrap the week up than to download amazing digiscrap goodies for free? I am sharing my loot finds for today. Go ahead, download them and start scrapping. Just don't forget to thank the designers, alright?

1) Summer in the Garden Sampler by Melanie Ann Designs 2) My All Star Alpha by HeavenlyScraps 3) Autumn Flowers by Sunflower

Burnt Chai by Kaz C. Designs

So there, till my next loot share. I'm off to chat with a friend who works in a home health care agency. She has just arrived in the US and will share some caregiving stories during her first week.

NSBR: On Online Casinos.

Thanks to free casino bonus, my brother is hooked even more on playing online that keeps him occupied most of the time. Luckily, he also now has his own desktop. He doesn't bug me anymore while I digital scrap on my laptop. He used to borrow mine just so he can play at USA online casinos. His addiction to it is actually so amusing. Even before, he's already into it that he loves watching TV shows about casino games like blackjack. He learned about this through the show then he researched further on the internet, tried to play for the first time at All-casino-bonuses then never looked back. That's when he started to get hooked. It's always all about online casinos and strategies to win are his non-stop babbles even during meal times. And just this morning during breakfast, he was raving how the strategy he learned form all-casino-bonuses’ Blackjack Guide helped him win last night. Added to that, he also likes how the site enables him to search for the Best Online Casinos that he could play at by yielding details on hot bonuses and top picks. Aside from the guides, the sites directory is also useful.

He was so thankful that he stumbled upon the guide prior to playing. Now he’s a hundred bucks richer…and of course, a million times happier. He was so in the mood that I’ve almost lured him to treat me for a box of pizza last night. I hope he gets to win again tonight. I might finally have him treat me, if he doesn’t want to buy me pizza then a nice digital scrapbooking kit I’ve been eyeing to buy since last week will do.

On Web Hosting.

I wished I have known about Webhostinggeeks before I decided to sign up with my current web host in my other blog. I'm quite satisfied with the services of my current web host but I could have benefit more, would have known better and decided wiser if I checked the tips and comparison among the top web hosting providers provided by webhostinggeeks. This site is actually useful for those who'd like to have their sites hosted but have knowledge limitations about the ins and outs and what nots of web hosting consideration. Through their Top 10 Ranking of providers, you'll get to know the best web host there is in terms of value and rates, bonus features, customer service quality and a whole lot more. Their independent reviews would also enable you to choose which host to consider depending on your requirements. They also have tutorials to use as reference should you need further information about web hosting. Upon seeing their comparison table, now I'm tempted to contract another web host service for a blog that I'll be starting soon.

FPD: Teacher's Pet Assignment # 2.

Hope you didn't miss all the outrageous Teacher's Pet digiscrap giveaways over at Funkyplaygrounddesigns last week. Well, I have downloaded tons of them, hence, the lesser external hard disk's free space. But look what FPD has come up again this week. Dubbed as Assignment Number 2, check out the goodies below, go and start grabbing them from here. Just remember that you have to be logged in or register (if you still haven't) so you can view and download them.

For the mean time, I have to go and read more on how does asset recovery go about.

I Finally Scrapped.

So before you thought that my creative juices totally got drained, I finally found time to scrap last night. I was in the mood to do so because I unzipped and organized all my downloaded kits after procrastinating and kept on delaying it for a couple of weeks. Also, I'm starting to get shame-faced to my Creative Team as I wasn't that active in the team's gallery last month. I was just able to contribute 2 layouts..it's still in accordance in the CT requirement though. But I'm wishing I could have done more. Anyway, I promise I'll make it up this month and I'm targeting to contribute at least 4 this time.

Anyway, check out the Life Is Art collab kit of Aja Abney and Michelle Godin of ScrapbookGraphics if you still haven't. Lots of whimsical collage-inspired elements and papers to play with. Go and grab it now as it's still priced 20% off its regular. I tell you your $6.38 will be all worth it with all these:

* 20 papers
* 1 complete alpha set
* 44 embellishments
* 1 wordart
* 1 .psd layered template
* 1 quick page

Also it has a coordinating bracket album that includes (10) layouts, (1) front cover, (1) back cover, and (6) blank pages for a total of 18 pages!

Now here's my take on the collab kit. My dear son just turned five months last Saturday and I decided to scrap his milestone markers. I better back track his first four months and all the succeeding months' milestone markers. These are absolutely memories worth keeping through scraps.

Now that I'm done with my layout share, I need to go and declutter my mailbox. I got so many brochures about beauty products and acne treatments. Perhaps these are hinting me to go and get a little pampering in the salon soon.

Gift.

It's my sister's birthday today and I haven't thought of any gift to give until I saw Zenni Optical was on FOX news! There are Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni and I'm sure that she'll be overly delighted to own one that are chic and cool in design. I'm heading over to their site in a while to start browsing from among their vast collection of fashionable and stylish products. What's also good about their shop is that rates offered are factory prices. For example, the Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses, yes it's unbelievably just $8! The don't have middlemen, no retails overhead and no advertising budget, hence, with the low prices. This will be indeed one cool birthday gift.

All About Last Night.

1. What time did you sleep?
:: Unusually early at 10 PM. I tried to take the weekend off from staying online, hence I slept at the same time my 2 boys did.

2. What's the last thing you did?
:: Said my prayer of thanks to Him then kissed my boys goodnight.

3. What was your dream?
:: It was pretty weird but I can not remember the full details. It has something to do with moth traps, a big basketball and a swimming pool. I told you it's weird.

4. Was it cold?
:: Yes, it was a rainy Sunday. The news says, the weather bureau spots 3 Low Pressure Areas within the country's area.

5. Were you comfortable?
:: Yes. Slumbers with my two boys are the best.

6. Any evening rituals?
:: I always take a shower, drink a glass of my Anmum Lacta milk, brush my teeth, comb my hair, say a prayer, check my two boys then hit the sack.

7. The very last person you kissed?
:: My little boy
