Looking Forward.

Yehey! I finally touched my digiscrapping kits after gazillion years. Just an exaggeration of course. I was forced to open my photo editing software and whipped up a Jungle Safari themed-invite for my son's birthday party. Yes, he's turning one in about a month's time. Time surely flies, right? He'll soon turn one then the next thing I'm witnessing he's running around the house, wooing a girl, graduating from college and perhaps, God-willing, going to a school mba. Let me stop there for a while as I don't want to talk about him marrying yet at this point. LOL. His schooling will first take most of his time so as early as now, we're saving and planning for his future studies. I don't actually care what career would he pursue but all we ask is that he'll take it seriously and graduate with honors. As his parents, we'll do our best to fulfill our duties to send him to the best school. Capella University is promising as it's the leading online graduate school with a state-approved specialization in reading and literacy. It would be great if he'll earn a MBA degree from there.

As for the party invites, I'll share them in a bit.

Jobs..jobs..jobs.

1. How do you go about looking for a job (websites, papers, etc)?
:: Usually through online job search sites.

2. At what point do you start looking for jobs? Before you need to find a new one, or when you are made to?
:: I start looking for jobs the moment I don't feel happy with my current job. Or sometimes, whenever I just feel like random job opportunity browsing.

3. Do you have any requirements when you take a job? If so, what are they?
:: The pay must certainly be good just like those jobs in health care. The pay must be commensurate with the duties and tasks.

Can't Take My Eyes Off You.

No, I'm not singing.

I'm supposed to start digiscrapping the little one's party guest sheets but I can't take my eyes off from browsing this home site where I got a cool childproof bookshelf idea. I'm thinking of styling our bedroom with such for my books and magazines to have an "abode" of their own and to escape from the little one's destructive hands. We don't have a budget for tv lifts similar to this, although this would also be definitely nice.

Saturday Freebies Galore.

It's been quite a while since I hunted and shared for freebies. And so since I'm not doing anything this afternoon or should I say, I'm not yet in the mood to do the things I'm supposed to accomplish..let me share to you some digiscrapping freebies. Be sure to free up your computer memory so you can save and add these goodies to your digi stash. As always, don't forget to respect their TOUs.

Early..I Hope.

I can sense that the husband is going home early tonight. He's already offline at YM so perhaps, he's on his way home. Totally, weird and unusual..because in these past few days, he's so swamped with work that he goes home late. I just hope that he doesn't forget to drop by at the drugstore to grab the little one's standby formula milk. If only, Allegro Medical delivers locally then I don't have to worry and just order online easily. Allegro Medical is one of the largest and most technologically advanced online retailer of life enhancing products in the United States. Their products include Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies such as pediasure and Outdoor Gear. With such online retailers, instead of going out, then I could spend extra hours digiscrapping.

Special Delivery.

Have you received a package in the last week?
:: Nope. I'm still expecting about 3 Holiday packages though. You know how shipping is like during Holidays so patience is really a virtue.

Was it Christmas/holiday related? Or was it something you were expecting in the mail?
:: Yes. One of them is a gift from my Twittermate. While two are orders from Artscow and Everyday Minerals.

Do you often receive deliveries?
:: Not that often.

Have you or do you expect to receive holiday gifts in the mail this year?
:: Yes.

Do you mail off holiday gifts?
:: Yes, I did.

Thanks Yen!

Benefits of Digital Scrapbooking.

1. Fixing mistakes is as easy as clicking the undo button. Cropping pictures doesn't also ruin any photos.

2. No mess at all in your work table. Therefore, no harmful tools such as box cutters, scissors, tacks and other sharp or pointed objects that can hurt.

3. Layouts are recopied instantly should one need multiple copies.

4. Layouts are easily shared through email and online galleries.

5. Digital kits and elements can be used over and over again in different layouts. Even if you just have one digital kit, different styles can be achieved.

These are just some of the benefits of digital scrapbooking. If you haven't tried doing it digitally, consider learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop or any other designing software and get ready to be hooked.

5 For Wed.

button by you.

1. What would you say is your idea of fine dining?
:: Class and extraordinary foods.

2. How often do you go out to eat at a restaurant?
:: Not that often. Only on special occasions and I wish we could do it more often.

3. What side do you think goes great with ham?
:: hotdog

4. What do you prefer, hot foods or cold?
:: hot foods

5. Does packaging alter the taste?
:: It does not but could add appetite perhaps.

Thanks Yen!

Have to go for now. I better run after the little one who's nearly approaching the tv stands.

In Detail,

Got this from Peachy.

You should answer all the questions with detail.
In detail…what are you wearing?
* Pink floral shorts, white "I love Subic" shirt and undies.

In detail…what are you doing tomorrow?
* It's my sister's wedding tomorrow so we have a grand celebration.

In detail…what did you do/will you do on your birthday?
* Honestly, I haven't thought of it yet since I'm more focused on the planning for my son's first birthday..we have the same birthday month by the way.

In detail…who was the last person you hugged and why?
* My little Asher because I feel like hugging and kissing him. I do that very very very often eventhough we're together 24/7.

Pardon if my answers are not that so in detail because I'm rushing things up as I need to review the term life insurance the husband asked me to do this morning.

Digital Artist Magazine.

Our hard disk is about to explode right now after I transferred 2 GB worth of pictures taken during the Holidays. If there's one thing that must have been totally exhausted that would be our camera. Amidst my busy offline duties now, I'm quite relieved that I was able to upload them on to my online galleries for viewing and even on to my Artscow gallery for photo printing which I'll be doing soon. I'm just so busy at the moment but when I find the time, I'll see that I'll digiscrap. Speaking of digiscrapping which I haven't done for quite some time now, I'm thinking of buying the latest issue of the Digital Artist Magazine. As quoted on their site:

The November/December bumper issue is finally out! With almost 400 pages and more than 18 free downloads, it was a massive undertaking at over 1.6 GIGABYTES in total size! Just in time for your Christmas and New Year photos, you'll enjoy the inspirational articles and products perfect for documenting your 2008 memories.

For just USD 6.99, it's surely a steal considering the enormous freebies that come along with the tons of digiscrapping inspirations and techniques it contains. I guess, I have to hold of for the mean time the purchase of Votive candle holders I'm planning to have. I found a couple online and it would look good on the center table in the living room but the Digital Artist Magazine appears more alluring at the time being.

4. How often do you visit an automatic teller machine?
:: Not that often. I try to minimize my withdrawals.

5. Which of your daily tasks would you most like to see automated?
:: Washing clothes.

Thanks Kathy!
