Beauty School.

Everything's set with the party for tomorrow except my nails. Haha! I've been really busy with the party details that I neglected about myself. Of course, the mom's celebrant has to be glamorous also. Well, I might just clean my nails all by myself later. I'm not really into manicure and pedicure so I'll just give my nails a little cleaning. As for the makeup, I'm excited to use the ELF makeup loots that I got. With a little expertise on makeup, I'll just experiment on what I have. That's actually one of my dreams, to study cosmetology so I get to save on salon visits. I saw on the web about Regency Beauty Institute. I've been hearing great reviews and raves how well they provide exceptional cosmetology education. I also came to learn about their recent expansion pursuits and one of their latest projects was a beauty school indianapolis. I'm browsing their site now and I'm impressed how comprehensive their program is.

Firefox.

Ever since I started using Firefox, I didn't look back and very rarely that I use Internet Explorer now. Why? Simply because, Firefox makes my life easier. Here are the reasons why I love Firefox:

1. The colorful tabs
2. Able to save sessions and resume on them as is
3. The plugins!!!

My most favorite plug-ins are the Twitterfox, download organizer, and the Entrecard.

I know there are some more plug-ins that I am yet to explore..any reco and suggestions? Tell me your favorites.

Food Choices.

1. Are you a fan of veggies? Which one do you like and hate the most?

I do eat veggies and my faves are squash, eggplant, malunggay and okra.

2. What’s your usual breakfast?

Rice and viands like tuyo, hotdog, egg, etc.

3. What food can you not live without?

Hmmm...rice.

4. Are you a water drinker? If not, which drink do you often replace with water?

Yes I am. I easily feel thirsty.

5. Summer is here! Name one tropical food you look forward to eating!

Banana as in saging con hielo. Yummy!

Birthday Gift.

Tomorrow's the first day of March and it also marks a 12 day countdown before my big day. So after my son, it'll be me who'll celebrate next. I'm not sure yet how will I celebrate it but it will just be probably a simple dinner with cake and pasta at home. I'm not used to having big parties even when I was little. The last time I had a big one was my 3rd birthday. Parties don't matter to me actually. I'd rather treat myself or wish from my loved ones gadgets or recent fascinations that I have. Like for this year, (I don't know if it's just timely) my mobile phone got busted so the husband advised that he will give me a new one for my birthday. Sweet. Well, I would also be the happiest if I get to have a costume jewelry that I saw over at Holsted Jewelers. I'm quite drawn with their special “set savings” deals..it says that when you buy more, you save more. In these difficult times, bargains would really be a plus to a scrimping wallet. I'd really love to try their jewelries because many have already attested the beauty, craftsmanship and quality of their products.

Saturday 6.

Thanks Aggie.

1. Do you use a Digital or Film camera?
Digital.

2. Do you print the photos yourself or get them printed for you?
I have them printed at Artscow..but I'm having trouble with their delivery delays.

3. Do you upload your photos to sites such as flickr or photobucket?
Yes, I upload most of my photos to Flickr. I also do have a photobucket account but I seldom use it anymore.

4. Do you photo anything and everything or does your camera only come out on special occasions such as birthdays etc.?
I try to capture everything. If I'm in the mood, even the minute or nonsense details like industrial knobs don't escape my lens.

5. When was the last time you upgraded to a new camera?
Just last December.

6. If you could have any camera on the market which one would you choose and why?
Nikon D90 but a new lens would do since we just bought a new one two months ago.

LP: Bulaklak (Flower)

Since the husband and I got hooked with photography, flowers are one of those subjects that we love to take pictures of. They are just so nice and it feels so great to capture them, aren't they? This is one of the little flowers that I took shot at Noah's Park November last year.

Summer Is On!

Our weather bureau has officially welcomed summertime in our country. With that said, there's only one thing that summertime is synonymous to for most people..and that is, it's swimming time. Whether it be in crystal blue pool waters or the cool waves of the beach - swimming is absolutely one of the most favorite activities during summer. And so, have you laid out your plans yet? If not still, then you might consider splurging on a mexico vacation. Well, if only, I have the means, I'd definitely have this as one of my must-go destinations. Who would resist the secluded white-sand beaches of Mexican Riviera Maya? And much more, the Karisma Hotels that are just simply divine with the luxury all-inclusive accommodation they offer. Cozy rooms, pampering activities, marvelous food - is there anything else to wish for?

Postal Office.

Asher's party invitation delivery almost didn't make it before the party. I think it's already a fact (and I have to accept) that my orders from Artscow always get delayed. And that's because of our very strict, not to mention, very "wise" postal office. The city government wants to earn in every way they can so they're taking advantage of the Php 35 postal payment whenever a parcel is released. Lucrative process huh? It's just pretty disappointing because for some cities or smaller municipalities, their parcels are delivered right at their very doorstep by their mailmen. Wise talaga si Mayor Binay.

Gold Coins Investment.

My Dad is on a lookout for a new investment. He's thinking of putting up a new business, just a small one to begin with and one that's easy to manage even if he's not around that much. However, he's quite adamant of putting one with the ongoing economic crisis. Of course, it's given that a business is always risky irregardless of the economic situation but then all the more that he has now to be cautious. Nobody wants to have his hard-earned money just go to waste, right? Aside from putting up a business, my Dad is thinking of trying out gold coins investment, too. He just read “The Rare Coin Insider” of Monaco (part of the Monex family of companies) and he's interested to know the ins and outs towards the way of making big in precious metals investment. He said he's going to touch base with the experts of Monaco Rare Coin to help him locate the best, highest-quality rare coins available in the marketplace.

Summertime is Nearing!

This week's the last of February and soon, summertime is nearing with the coming of March here in my part of the woods. No wonder we can start feeling the sweltering heat. Of course, I do love summer because I enjoy the clear blue skies, the cool water and white pristine sand of the beach, and the cooling effect that Halo-halo and ice cream feasting brings. There's only one thing that I hate and that's the scorching heat of the sun. We haven't actually thought of yet where to spend it. The last time we were just at home because Asher was just a few months old but now he's a little old enough to travel, I might suggest to the husband these Vegas vacations cheap deals I saw on the web. Hmm, let's see what the husband has to say.

Eyes Eyes Baby.

My eyes are giving me a hard time lately, perhaps, the overstay in front of the computer is already making its toll on them. I'm now thinking to have them checked. In my pursuit of a good eye doctor, I read about Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! Oh well, I'm not surprised with the great spotlight since they've been known to help Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank. Even my sister was surprised to know that they have Prescription eyeglasses for only $8! Well, that's how great zenni is.

Snack Cravings.

It's almost merienda (snacks) time and my palates (and intestines) are now starting to demand for satisfaction. I'm finishing the tarpaulin layout for Asher's party so I'm needing a little heavy snacks in order for me to endure the quite long time I'm seated and to keep my creative mind working. If I won't be able to find some in the fridge, I would just perhaps dial 8mcdo and order for a double cheeseburger meal. If only, I'm in Denver, then I could just order from among the several sprawled restaurants in the city. Denver Restaurants offer the best food choices. That's what I've read in the Review section of the West Word. This particular section is indeed helpful to those who are food lovers and even if one is on a budget, there's always a specific resto that can give the ultimate dining experience.

28..Soon!

In a month, I'm turning a year older. It just dawned on me today as I flipped the wall calendar to check the countdown 'til Asher's first birthday party in a few weeks from now. We both have the same birthday month, 10 days apart to be exact. And as it is his first birthday bash, the preparations make me forget about my own birthday. Oh well, it's not that I'm celebrating with a party and I'm expecting a gift (although it would be nice if I'll really be remembered with one of those gorgeous Nixon watches HAHAHA!), but I'm really more occupied with the little one's party. As I turn 28, there's only one wish I can think of since we've been pretty blessed with a lot of things. That is, to continually nourish our little family with much love, happiness and good health.

A "Phone In" Question.

"Are diet pills dangerous?"

That's the message that a friend of mine buzzed me just a few minutes ago. I was kinda surprised with her question because for one, although I'm so skinny, I haven't tried in my life any diet pill. Two, I have no plans of trying it so I care less about researching about it. On the contrary, if there's a pill about gaining weight, that's more likely that I'm willing to try. Three, this friend of mine is not actually "fat" so there's no need for her to think about losing weight.

When I asked why is she thinking about diet pills, she said, she have unwanted flabs beneath those clothes and that's what she wants to shed off. She's envious of my scrawny physique so when she asked what did I do to come up with this built, I told her: "Go and become a breastfeeding SAHM to a toddler who knows nothing but nurse and play so actively."

Month of Love.

Time indeed flies by so fast. It seems it was just the first day of the year yesterday but now, it's almost mid-February and it only means one thing. Time to celebrate the season of love. If you are looking for February desktop calendar quickpages, then check this out.

This is from the Sweet Love collaboration kit of Saxon and Tracey. Just gorgeous to stay on your desktop for this month of love. Find the download link here.

Meanwhile, I'll scour for more Valentine-themed freebies while I listen to the news. My Dad has been glued to the news these days regarding the faltering pre-need plans issue. He's actually one victim of the Legacy brouhaha so I can't blame him for paying keen attention on that. Are life insurance plans included in these fiasco? I've received a term life insurance quote the other day and I'm hesitant to even entertain it.
