QOTW #51.

1. How’s the week going on so far?
:: Not so good. The little one got us worried towards the end of the week with his frequent unusual pooping.

2. Would you rather love or be loved?
:: Can I say...both...equally?

3. How do you feel when you hear a friend completely butchering a story?
:: Well, he/she can go on with her story but just don't expect me to believe every word of it.

4. If you could have a recorder which would make a DVD or video tape of your dreams, would you use it?
:: Yes it's nice to watch them all over and over again especially if it's fantasy or of that sort.

5. Have you ever had a dream about being a place you’ve never been, and days or years later, you end up there?
:: Yes, I have experienced deja vu so many times.

6. Do you sit at your computer and eat snacks and have refreshments to drink?
:: Yes. I don't deny that.

7. Which is more true: everything matters or nothing matters?
:: Everything matters. :)

8. What was the last thing you gave up on?
:: Some computer time yesterday to take care of the sickly little one.

9. Can the love of a person really make you change?
:: Yes…change for the better.

10. Any plans for the weekend yet?
:: We’re attending JB’s party in a little while.

Join us here. Yen has just given away the last bracelet prize for this week's QOTW. Too bad, I didn't have the luck to win it. She said that she's holding another giveaway contest in two months to celebrate their anniversary..she mentioned about digital camera as a prize...and that, I'll definitely watch out for it. Who knows she'll also give bigger and interesting prizes like camera lens, gadgets, or auto insurance even. Exciting..huh?

3x Thursday.

1. Do you have a calendar on your wall? What's it of? Do you like it? Why/why not? If you don't have a calendar on your wall, what do you do when you need to look at the days and months ahead?
+ Yes, we have one here in the living room. It's actually the calendar I customized using baby pictures of Asher and had it printed at Artscow. Actually, random pictures of Asher taken from delivery to monthly birthday celebrations to vacations. There's even one taken at Boracay that seemingly looks like the Outer Banks.

2. Do you wear a watch? Why/why not? If you don't wear one, how do you keep track of your time, appointments, when to eat, go to bed, etc?
+ I haven't been wearing my watch since I had Asher and I have to carry him most of the time. Especially now that he's so active, he might get injured with it or my watch could get broken by the inquisitive him. I seldom go out so I refer to our wall clocks or my computer for the time at home.

3. How do you keep track of appointments (of all kinds) in your life?
+ I don't have planners or a diary so I just keep them in mind hoping not to forget about them.

Thanks Yen!

The Contrary.

I think I have shared it already here that I'm having a problem with my weight. Not gaining excessive weight, but it's the contrary. I have lost so much weight since I gave birth that my weight now is even lower than my pre-pregnancy average weight. I have never looked lanky and scrawny like this before although, I've always been in the skinny side eversince. But I just don't feel good about myself now. I've been taking my vitamins, iron which my OB prescribed as nutritional health supplements since I'm still breastfeeding. But no improvement still and something's bothering me so I am to schedule and appointment with an endocrinologist soon. Hope it's nothing serious.

Free Project 365 Templates.

Big thanks to ate Jen for directing me to this site. I've seen her Project 365 entries and I absolutely like the templates she used. I'm planning to make a Photobook for Asher's party pictures and these templates are just perfect. The best news about this...it's free! So go ahead, download and start scrapping.

Online Drugstore.

Before heading home last Sunday, we passed by the drugstore first to buy Asher's anti-rash diaper cream and one of his vitamins. Hubby was driving so fast because it was already closing time. Luckily, we arrived just in the nick of time..a few minutes later, the guard was readying to close the store's railings. If only they operate like AllegroMedical.com, then there's no such hurry dramas. One of the largest and most technologically advanced online retailers of life enhancing products in the United States, Allegro Medical makes people's lives a lot easier. All they have to do is just turn on their computers and order online. Sample featured products include diabetes test strips, Pediasure, Kinesio Tape, wheelchair cushions, X2 Vest Weight Vests and many more.

The Jungle Safari Tarpaulin.

Jungle Safari Themed Stage.

So here's the Jungle Safari Tarpaulin I've been mentioning. This was digiscrapped by yours truly using Misty Cato's Sweet Safari Kit (available at Sweet Shoppe Designs). Watch out for more party stuffs that I used the kit with. This tarpaulin is sized 12 ft x 7 ft. Had them printed at Arkigrafix at Php 25/sq foot. We were supposed to rent out one lot of styro backdrop but it's so costly that we opted to design a tarp on our own and have them printed. Then we just rented animal standees at Php 500 each. I heard that she infused other creative ideas like she used brown body stockings and green crepe papers to make as vines. Let me check if I have pictures of those.

Wedding Flowers.

Teddy and flowers.

This was the pail of flowers that were carried by the flower girls in my sister's wedding last January. I am not sure what those flowers are but they all look so nice and fresh. The girls enjoyed their pails even more because of the teddy bears that come with it. Tiffany, my niece and was one of the flower girls, refused to carry her own pail though because what she wants is my sister's bouquet. She's so overwhelmed with the beauty of the wedding flowers that comprise the bouquet. Those were just ordered locally but according to my sister, she wished she could have ordered for more flowers similar to those of Fiftyflowers. She showed me their website and I totally agree that they have the biggest and most beautiful fresh cut flowers including Ecuadorian long stem roses. They expressly ship overnight fresh and straight from their flower farms.

The Party Venue.

The Venue: Makati Park and Garden

This is Makati Park and Garden and it is where we held Asher's jungle safari-themed birthday party last weekend. It is easy to locate (just near our home), it has an ample parking space, serene and well maintained park, spacious, uniquely shaped and air conditioned pavillion. The semi-indoor fountain and indoor plants in the middle were a plus and were so apt with Asher’s Jungle Safari Theme. Our venue stylist, Partyboosters, accentuated the venue with lots of colorful balloons thereby making it a jungle-lific scene. I love how Jacque added palm trees balloons, shrubs, squiggles, grasses, vines, and a lot more. More points and reviews on my supplier ratings.

Unique Favors.

I've been uploading the party pictures on to my Flickr since yesterday and I think I'm still far from the finish line. Told you, I got tons. But nevertheless, I'm quite energized because of the comments I've been constantly receiving. My online friends are so eager that they patiently and simultaneously wait while I upload each photo. All the more that I'm energized with their gracious comments saying how great the party was. Especially with how I was so detailed and even made DIY stuffs. One of my friends who is about to get wed is now even asking me for unique wedding favors. In my hunt for unique birthday party tokens, I stumbled upon The Knot Wedding Shop where they sell one of a kind top-quality wedding supplies and novelty items. One interesting stuff that I saw is this personalized wedding camera. I like the concept of this as the couple will have wedding memories as seen and captured by the guests. Nice!

Our Philippines

I've signed up with Dneero last year and I find their conversations engaging..not to mention, rewarding. With so many active Filipinos in the blogosphere, I just wish that Dneero provide more conversation opportunities for us to engage in.

We try to have at least one vegetable dish a day.

4. Raw or pasteurized? What is your choice?
Pasteurize.
