Sunday Freebie Finds.

Hello everyone and how's your Sunday so far? Well, as always, I have to spend a few hours of my weekend in front of the computer to beat some online works' deadline. We're saving up for something big so I explore online every possible means to earn.

We're moving a few untouched and old stuffs we're no longer using here at home and we'll be sending it to my grandma's house in the province so I'm also searching for discount moving boxes.

As I feel kinda hyped today, I'm sharing some new freebie finds I got from my Google Reader feeds.

Kit for The Photographer Scrapper.

I *heart* this kit! The elements capture exactly what a scrapper photographer feels towards capturing photos and preserving memories. Don't ask me if I have this already in my stash because it will only break my heart. As much as I want to binge, my paypal's penniless so I guess I just have to content myself drooling over this kit.

Packed with hand drawn goodies, realistic elements and beautifully textured papers, this kit is a must have for the scrapbooker. "Capture the Moment celebrates scrapbooking and those special little moments that scrapbookers love to record!" - Kate Hadfield

No Classes Today.

There's a typhoon hovering us today and in fact, according to the weather bureau, it will directly pass through Metro Manila later this evening. They already raise it to storm signal #2 here in the metropolis so that means school classes are suspended. Prior to this, some schools have temporarily declared a week long suspension due to the A(H1N1) pandemic flu scare. Now the Department of Education has summoned school administration to make ways and still meet the required number of school days throughout the school year despite these suspensions. This got me thinking again the benefit of studying in online colleges. They aren't affected of such and they can do study right at the comfort of their homes regardless of storm signals and flu scares. Speaking of online schools, I just viewed Capella University's latest ‘Inside Online Education’ podcast that features a discussion of state-approved reading and literacy program of the university. The testimonies of Capella students, faculty and staff sound convincing that I'm putting Capella one of my top online university choices when I decide to pursue a graduate degree programs in business in the future.

Goodnight For Now.

It seems I can not extend my blogging mania in here tonight any longer. My eyelids are closing on its own and my body's yearning to lie down and rest. I have accomplished much today but there are still a handful of tasks left. Tomorrow's another day so that's it. I have to start packing now and join my husband and son in the dreamland. Until then!

Destination Weddings.

I'm wondering if the the TV show Married Away at ETC Channel is still being aired. I used to be hooked on this show. I love weddings so I’m just a sucker for tv shows having wedding-related topics, reality wedding and all sort of those things. Married Away is a reality TV showcasing destination weddings. They feature real life engaged couples’ adventures and even misadventures as they prepare and consequently hold their weddings in far away places.

Getting married too and wanted to have your wedding held in an exotic and romantic place elsewhere? Then try one of the Karisma resorts in the Riviera Maya strip in Mexico such as the El Dorado Suites. Romantic, intimate, piece of heaven...those are the words that describe weddings in Riviera Maya resorts. Clueless about what gourmet inclusive is all about? Go ahead and book your ultimate Mexcito getaway with karismahotels.com.

Thursday Freebies.

[Preview.jpg]

Plans For Today.

It's already 1:05 AM and I'm still very much alive and kicking. I'm rushing a few tasks online because I want to be freed by Friday. It's a public holiday and there's an upcoming out of town family affair that we have to join.

For me not to be disoriented, here are my plans for today or should I say later when I wake up.

1. Someone close to me is desperate and begging for help to get rid of her flabs and excess weight. I am no a lipo doctor to do some magic but what I can do is check on this fat burner reviews online and give her feedback about the most effective based on testimonies and ratings from users.
2. Blog about the plans for the weekend, since it'll start early with the holiday.
3. Submit articles to a local parenting magazine.
4. Try to digiscrap a layout for the little one's birthday photobook.
5. Anxiously wait for Leela's pictures.

The Golden Opportunity.

Thinking of venturing into precious metals trading? Here are some information I got from the web while researching about gold coins.

1. Buy gold depending on your needs. There are certain types of gold to match your requirement. Let's say you want to capitalize on price movement, gold bullion is the right investment. A premium mix variety of pre-1933 European and American coins if you are interested in long-term asset preservation.
2. Buy gold anytime you feel the need.
3. Gold is considered a bedrock. Notwithstanding the world economy status, the gold remains valuable in itself.

Those are just a few of what I have researched so far. I'm still in the middle of reading Monaco Rare Coin's “The Rare Coin Insider”, which anyone can subscribed to for free, by the way. Monaco Rare Coin is a trusted leader in hard asset investments and has been serving thousands of rare coin collectors or investors for nearly 40 years. Interested in gold investment? Join me in researching more about this opportunity.

Baby Out.

With reference to my previous post, I am pleased to announce that my sister has given birth earlier this noon. And so, we now have Leela, a new blessing and addition to the family. Unfortunately, we don't have pictures of her yet but I'm sure her daddy is working on it already while her mommy recovers. It's just relieving that our Mom was able to get there in Qatar before Leela came out. She's there for a 3 month visit to be my sister's doula and of course, to help her in taking care of the baby. Mom flew there last Saturday. She didn't need any cross country moving service since she's up for a brief stay only thus, just brought a few stuffs. However, I heard that my sister will be shipping back home a lot of their stuffs like small furniture for disposal. Not sure yet but with that, Mom might be needing a mover.

Anyway, welcome to the world, my dearest niece, Leela!

Baby Themed Digikits.

My Qatar-based sister is due to give birth one of these days or any time now. She's currently on her 38th-39th week so it's inevitable that she experiences pre-labor symptoms like irregular contractions, back aches, groin pain, etc. As much as she's excited for her first born, we're all ecstatic as well for another addition to the family. I can't wait to see her in pictures and in person as well. As early as now, my sister, who's also into digiscrapping, has sought my help to search for baby-themed digital kits that she can use for her daughter's birth announcement. Here are the kits, I've found at Sweetshoppedesigns.

The elements in these two kits are all a darling. They're full of baby stuffs: disposable diapers, feeding bottles, binkies and a whole lot more. Speaking of diapers, Asher has run out of stock already, so I'll go in a while and check DisposableMedicalExpress.com.

The Land of Nod by Dani Mogstad
Great neutral colors with a hint of vintage flavor make this kit perfect for boys or girls!

Get Real Baby by Christy Lyle and Misty Cato
Full of soft colors in a range suitable for baby boys and girls and piles of elements, you’ll be turning to this set again and again to document your little bundle of joy.

New Hobby?

I think the husband is adapting a new hobby soon. Last month, he and his officemates had a teambuilding out of town where they played paintball. He enjoyed it and he's thinking of pursuing it as a hobby. He says, he loves the thrill, the energy, the adrenaline rush as if he's in a real combat. It is in this light that he's wanting me to canvas for cheap paintball packages online. Luckily, I found ZephyrPaintball.com where cheap paintball gears and stuffs abound: paintball guns, paintball goggles, playing and casual apparel, jerseys, paintballs, paintball field gear and all other accessories from all brands. What's more exciting and alluring is that they ship for free. Now that's an ultimate online shopping experience. I now have a few stuffs on my cart, I have to check it first with the husband though if they are all good to go.

Annoying Part II.

Just a continuation of the previous post.....

Isn't it annoying when you're about to finish typing a deeply thought document then suddenly your laptop's power die on you because your brother carelessly shut the AVR down and you're a few seconds late to save the document?

And isn't it annoying when you're deep in concentration writing a document then someone's keep on talking to you stealing your attention, demanding for an answer and jumbling your thoughts?

Or similar to the scenario above, you're rushing some typing tasks when the phone or cellular phones ring and none of your housemates want to pick up the call seemingly waiting for you to do it?

Annoying..simply annoying.

And nothing's more annoying when you're drafting a blog post in a notepad because you don't have an internet connection to type it directly on your blog platform.

Arrggh!

Drafted: June 4, 2009 11:45 PM

Annoying.

Isn't it annoying when you're all hyped up to do a particular thing then you end up empty handed and can't do anything about it? Let's say in my case, I'm all ready and so in the mood to blog then all of a sudden your internet connection acts up preventing you from accomplishing any of your deadline nearing online tasks?

Heirlooms.

Bag shopping is one of the recent fascinations of a few online friends. Just recently, some of them shopped for Gucci, Coach, Liz Claiborne and even the way expensive Louis Vitton bags. These undeniably cost a fortune and I envy their determination and for having the resources to acquire these signature bags. Aside from being baghags and these brands were their long time fancies, they say that these also can serve as heirlooms that they can pass on to their daughters. Well, I have nothing against their interest in these very costly bags. But if I were to be asked and given the means, I'd rather splurged the money on our priorities like for our housing project, Asher's educational fund, future business funds, etc. And if I were to buy an heirloom, I'd prefer those precious gems or jewelries like a costume jewelry to pass on to my children as these gems are valuable until eternity. And there's no other place online as Holsted Jewelries to buy highly handcrafted jewelries. Since the '70s their customers have nothing but great raves and praises how well crafted and how their jewelries are explicitly and uniquely designed. They certainly make great heirlooms, right?

The Another Twilight Kit.

Who says that Twilight hasn't invaded yet the digiworld? You're wrong. Check out this Another Twilight Kit by Courtney Wilson at The Digichick. Okay I admit, I'm a Twilight fanatic too or should I say more of an Edward Cullen fanatic. He's gorgeous..I mean his persona and character per se not and really Rob Pattinson. Although personally he certainly fits Edward's character. By the way, have you seen The New Moon's movie trailer? Sheesh I'm so excited and can't wait 'til November.

Anyway, back to the kit.

This kit contains 11 papers that will DAZZLE you! Further, an element pack that includes 30 unique elements, in addition to recolored and with and without shadows! I sooooo love the colors...reminds me of the Twilight's romantic scene at the meadows.

Missing Them.

It's just recently that I found a former colleague at Facebook. It's been more than a year since my resignation so seeing pictures of my former office and of my ex-officemates at her album makes me walk down the memory lane. I so miss my closest buddies, our pantry, my workstation and even the cozy Home Office Furniture that were set up in the reception area. Since it's a call center and it operates 24/7, our furniture then were carefully selected. The management preferred to have it a homey feel so that it isn't so formal for the agents and they can just let loose. One good example is a reception seating such as this.

Wedding Favors.

_MG_3970

These were our wedding favors when we tied the knot three years ago. Will you be able to guess what stuffs are those inside the bottle? Well, perhaps even if you feel them in person, you won't be able to guess it. Actually, those are scented paper soaps. We bought them in tubes and we repackaged them in heart-shaped bottles on our own then were neatly packed in sinamay woven baskets. We didn't want any of those very common ceramic tokens as we find them so passe and we didn't want neither to waste money on expensive but very simple souvenirs so we thought of DIY-ing ours. Way back then, I just scoured a wedding forum that I'm a member of for wedding ideas and that's where I grasped this paper soap thing. If I have known about The Knot Wedding Shop then, we could have an edible favor like a personalized coffee or cappuccino packet, sparkling cider mini sparklers, personalized honey jars or even personalized hot sauce. Unique yet very cool!

Plastic Rainbow Alpha Freebie

Download away and you know the drill.

Sorry if I didn't have much freebies shared these past few days. Well, as I've mentioned I'm quite busy setting up two new blogs last week. This blog used to house as well my interest in photography but I decided to put up another blog solely for that and this will be concentrated on my digiscraps. Then as for the other one, I just need to put up a blog where I can be myself. Don't think that I'm not being true with my other blogs but you see there are "certain" people who now stalks my main blog so I kinda get conscious with what I blog now. I need to be cautious and that frustrates me because I can't really blog and express my thoughts on that ground.

And I can't get enough, I'm also thinking of putting up another one..not now perhaps next month. But I'm not yet sure what its concentration will be all about...it may be about food, travel, beauty..i don't know. The third one sounds interesting though. Perhaps I could blog about tips, beauty regimens, secrets or even about acne skin treatment. Cool. I just hope that by next month, my schedule will become a little lax so I can proceed with it.
