Wireless Now

I'm pertaining to my newly bought mouse, that is. Asher accidentally kicked my flowery pink mouse the other night as he tried to get off the bed where I was relaxingly lounging while surfing the web. Then it just went dead and ceased functioning when I picked it up. We dropped by at Centris Station's CD-R King this morning to buy a new mouse. I was lucky to be able to charm the husband to buy me a wireless type this time which is slightly more expensive than the regular ones. While paying for the stuffs we bought, I noticed how varied the stuffs that CD-R King are now selling. They just started with compact discs a few years back and now they even sell various gadgets like mp3 players and even computer parts and accessories. I won't be surprised if I'll see a macbook memory in their display stands soon. Their business is obviously flourishing so gloriously.

I digiscrapped!

Well, not really did I "digiscrap" from scratch but any activity done with a use of the Photoshop (albeit very simple), a photo and a Quickpage can still be considered digital scrapbooking, right? Can't share it yet because it's something that is included in my son's birthday AVP I made which I'll upload on Tuesday morning. To my friends at Facebook, just check out my profile on that day for you to see the simple layout I made.

Speaking of birthdays, I'll also be celebrating my birthday next week and aside from the gifts that I'm hopeful to receive, I'm thinking of upgrading my insurance package. I have to get in touch with my agent and request for free insurance quotes so I can peruse the options. Hopefully, I'll get one that is reasonable and flexible like the one the husband has.

Life is Short.

Over dinner tonight, we had a melancholic discussion when hubby brought up the topic about an uncle-in-law who just suffered stroke two nights before the burial of his late wife. They lost her to complications of various illnesses. These are the times when you can't help but get convinced that life is indeed cruel at times. Our hearts go out to the children, who despite these two consecutive unfortunate incidents, remained pliant and strong for each other. We're also reminded that our health is our wealth. We must never disregard whatever discomforts and illnesses we're suffering whether it be just initial symptoms because we'll never know if it's something serious like Mesothelioma or any type of cancer unless we submit ourselves for a check up. Live healthy. Life is just indeed short that's why we all have to make the most out of it.

On Beach Weddings

It seems that more and more couples are now veering away from conventional weddings nowadays. Among the favorite for destination weddings is the beach where breathtaking sea views add even more a romantic feel to the celebration. However, beach weddings entail a lot of tedious planning and logistics. That's why it is advisable to hire services of a local wedding coordinator or check out all inclusive packages of beach resorts and hotels that covers wedding planning services like the Karisma Hotels in Puerto Morelos, Mexico do. Another advantage of beach weddings is the dual purpose of having a ready access for the couple's honeymoon and instant vacation for the guests after the celebration. It may be a little tedious and expensive but beach weddings surely are a romantic and fun wedding alternative.

1st Birthday Photobook Layouts

I have recently shared a layout of the little one's 1st birthday party food last year. Since he'll be celebrating his 2nd birthday soon and I haven't finished doing his 1st birthday photobook (shame shame!), hopefully, reposting the spreads I've already done will head start my long sleeping mojos and finish it before the month ends.

The Jungle Party Place (Whole Spread)
The Birthday Boy (Whole Spread)
The Guests (Whole Spread)
Kiddie Guests (Whole Spread)

:SIGH: I wish I didn't procrastinate and how I wish I was able to manage my time better. But then again, it's never too late to make an action. And so, after I've settled from all the weekend activities, I'm vowing that I'll finish the remaining 50% of the photobook next week, by hook or by crook. I'll just make sure to have the best eye cream for dark circles on stand by because this would definitely mean working until late night.

Research and Ask.

There was a time when I needed to apply an over-the-counter salicylic acid based topical medicine for a skin problem when I just gave birth. This was a great challenge to me because being a first time breastfeeding mom, I was so cautious of all the medicines I used. While parenting and baby reference sites on the web say that "There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding", I still didn't pursue using it because as they say, when in doubt, it's best to err on the side of caution and not use it.

Breastfeeding or not, we must always be on the guard about the side effects of a particular medication before using it. Like when using a particular skin product, take time to read and research about tazorac side effects. We must always research and ask our doctor. After all, this is four own safety.

Turbo Blogging

There is a new favorite term in my Twitter group this morning and that is "Turbo Blogging" as first coined by a blogger friend, Em.

This is what most of us are doing right at this moment as we try to finish all our pending tasks by tomorrow. In my case, until later tonight. Our most awaited Grand Twitter EB will be held on Friday then a kiddie party for all our kids will be on the following day. So there, everyone's struggling to finish whatever we can since getting online on those days won't be possible.

I'll be meeting with another set of online friends, too, tomorrow and before that I'll have my TSH levels checked (finally). I'll consult these thyroidism symptoms I've been experiencing for several months now. I will also probably ask about the best acne face wash out in the market now for a group of zits on my forehead that has just sprung forth. I'm not sure though if it's just PMS-related but just to be sure I'll buy one before they become worse.

PMSin' and Reminiscin'

I don't think it's a good idea to browse my preggy-themed digiscrap layouts at this time when I'm PMS-ing. I can't control my emotions and I feel like crying upon seeing these precious pictures and journals. As you know, I didn't have an easy pregnancy as well as post partum recovery. I had my cholecystectomy 2 months after giving birth and other post pregnancy symptoms made it worse. Glad I was able to bookmark http://www.hemorrhoidcreams.org as it somehow relieved one of my complaints.

Anyhow, here are my favorite preggy layouts I made three years ago:

The 1st Sign: 2 Pink LinesSign of Life
Hormones At Work.2 Years.

Recess Time.

I had a productive day yesterday and I hope that it goes the same today. With the rate I'm doing now with my online works (haven't done much), it seems I won't be achieving the same number of accomplished tasks yesterday but it's okay, I'll try to accomplish as much as I can. Besides I still have one last day tomorrow to finish all these. I might be totally offline from Thursday to Saturday due to various scheduled meetups and partying with friends. My weekend's actually fully booked. Meanwhile, I have to take a very short break to find something to fill my tummy for snacks. Will this street food require me to find the best colon cleansers after? Well, that's what I'm craving now and I just have to worry about the detox later.

The Wedding Layouts.

Just an update, I haven't gotten my digiscrap groove back. I've been trying to attract my mojos for several months now but it's just not working. Apparently, just as when I have set and scheduled to open up my Photoshop, online works flood my way and so I end up postponing the scrapping task again to some other time. I really idolize how a particular friend manages her time very well. She's a full time mom, writes online articles just like I do (her workload is even greater than mine most of the time) and yet, she can still find time to digiscrap and fulfill her Creative Team duties. She must be a robot! But seriously, she's really an expert and has the skill in managing her time very efficiently which I lack.

I really do wish that I find time to whip up new layouts soon. This morning, in my attempt to awaken my mojos, I browsed my old layouts at Flickr for inspiration. I noticed that most of my layouts' theme were centered either on my wedding or on my newborn son then.

Take a look at some of my old layouts. Seeing again my wedding getup, the bouquet of flowers, and how lovely newlywed couples we looked like...I can't help but reminisce that magical day and wish to get wed (to the same person, of course) all over again.

Still Undone

Yummy Party Food (Whole Spread)

Calendar check, the little one's 2nd birthday is just two weeks and yet I haven't finished the Photobook I started for his 1st birthday party. Sheesh, bad mommy, bad digiscrapper. The layout above, which seemingly say that I also have to include the best ways to lose belly fat because the party foods are all so tempting and luscious, is just one of the ten full spread layouts I need to do. To date, I only have five so I'm just about 50% done. Browsing my finished layouts give me the drive to open up my Photoshop but this task always get bumped of at the last minute because online works flood my way. :sigh: I wonder when will I ever finish this photobook project.

Rapid Detox

It's alarming and depressing to know that society's drug addiction problem isn't getting any better. Depression, anxiety, impulse-control issue, personality problems are the usual factors why people tend to abuse and resort to drugs. But there is still hope and the family's support will always be the biggest help that can make one improve for the better.

It's also relieving to know that there are professionals and new technologies that can make the rehabilitation process a lot easier and faster. Las Vegas Rapid Detox Medical Clinic through its rapid detox process treats the physical addiction and the withdrawal symptoms of an opiate user. The procedure consists of 8 hours of rapid detox intensive treatment, 36 hours of one-on-one care after rapid detox, 8 weeks of psychologist follow-up counseling after initial psych assessment. Rehabilitation is not an easy plight to walk on but with the necessary support from highly trained professionals and the user's loved ones, drug addiction will just be a thing of yesterday.

Diversifying Assets Through Gold Trading

I decided to take a rest from my online projects this noon so I browsed the very informative site of USGoldBureau.com. We're thinking of "diversifying" our assets and precious metal trading is what we're opting to try right now. Here are some of my learnings about gold:

1. Buy gold depending on your needs. There are certain types of gold to match your requirement. Let's say you want to capitalize on price movement, gold bullion is the right investment.
2. Buy gold anytime you feel the need. So any time is the best time to buy gold bullion.
3. Gold is considered a bedrock. The gold remains valuable in itself, notwithstanding the world economy status.

This just the tip of the iceberg and I know there's so much I need to learn about gold trading before I take the plunge. I'm thankful that there are readily available web resources that I can peruse anytime.

He's A Gym Buff Now.

Guess who's been regularly visiting the gym lately?

Not me.

Probably, the husband's got fed up with my satirical comments on how he has obviously gained weight lately. Then he got the shock of his life too when he weighed in after the holidays so that convinced him to go back and undergo some muscle toning session in the gym. He's lucky because their company provides free gym usage and workouts to their employees so he need not spend on expensive gym membership fees. He works out every other day during lunch break and so far, he hasn't missed a schedule which is great. I regret that I wasn't able to get a picture of him before he started so we can compare and see the before and after look. On double purpose, with the perfect fitness equipment themed digital kit, I can also digiscrap those photos as a remembrance of his being a gym buff and a motivation as well to maintain his fit-conscious attitude.
