All About Weddings.

The other night, I stayed up pretty late and woke up with a big under eye circles because I got so glued to watching interesting wedding videos on youtube. Weddings are truly becoming more unique and amusing because of various gimmicks and surprises the couple have in store for the guests. For example, the JK Wedding Entrance Dance video garnered over 34 million views. It must be because of the perfect beat of the song which is pretty popular in the airwaves and the entourage's well participation that many were allured watching it. The whole group has graced various TV shows after the wedding because they were really raved about and many find their entrance dance really unique and entertaining.

Speaking of weddings, a friend of mine in Edinburgh has just announced over through her Facebook Wall that she's now engaged to her boyfriend of 6 years. And just like any other excited bride-to-be, she has started planning, resourcing and canvassing for their wedding suppliers. As his fiance is a citizen there, they will hold a simple wedding in Edinburgh while another Catholic wedding will be staged here in the country when they go home for vacation late next year. I got the chance to talk her just recently and I was told that planning a wedding in Edinburgh is a lot easier than here in the country. For one, it'll just be an intimate celebration with just a few invited relatives and friends. Two, searching for Edinburgh wedding suppliers is fairly breezy. She's thankful that they have a local directory of businesses (TouchLocal.com) on the web which makes her hunting so effortless.

After scouting for a wedding venue, the next supplier they booked was an Edinburgh Florist. They were able to track the nearest one available as well as they were able to view the clients' testimonials on the listed website of the supplier. They need not to visit the shop anymore because the folio can be viewed on the site comprehensively. I think the next service provider they'll look for is an Edinburgh Hairdresser and Make up Artist which is her favorite task. She's excited to book the person who'll make her beautiful on her most awaited day. My conversation with her made me reminisce my own wedding day. I can feel her happiness and I completely understand her excitement. I wish her luck in her wedding preps and my best wishes for their wedding.

Scrap Orchard Template Freebie.

Just sharing a template freebie I got alerted by my reader. I know, until now, I haven't digiscrapped yet but I'll definitely use this once I get my free time.

Don't you just love the circles and the text styling of the template? By the way, this freebie is actually part of the Template Challenge Monday of Scrapping with Liz where she'll choose a layout made from this template to win her newest template packs for the week.

Home Workout.

The husband went home late again last night. He's been pretty active lately playing basketball and going to the gym...his enduring effort to take away that bulging tummy fast and to stop me from teasing him about his ballooning weight. As his birthday is nearing, I'm looking out for an affordable gym equipment (perhaps, an elliptical will do) that we can set up here in our room so he does not have to go to the gym anymore and goes home late. He can workout anytime right here at the comfort of our home.

No Other Matches Grandma's Cooking

I love to eat...especially my grandma's cooking.

Although, my body physique does not show it, I really do. Let's just say that I'm blessed with a one of a kind metabolism that even I chow down gazillion cups of rice, or eat rice with my favorite dimsum for snacks, I won't balloon and gain voluminous body mass index. No, I don't have problems with my thyroid..thank God! I had that ruled out last month through a series of lab tests. I think it has got to do with the fact that I've always been skinny ever since. Plus, I'm still breastfeeding my 2 year old son and that alone contributes big time why the calories I devour do not make me fat.

Anyway, as I've said, I love to eat. I love food. I love holiday feasting. I love pigging out especially when it's prepared and cooked by my grandmother. She has the best Quick and Easy Recipes of all sorts of food from home made, to commercialized, to common ones and even her own. That's what I wish I inherited from her. Her skill of cooking. It's just sad that we have to live in the city so we didn't grow up under her care. That would have been great because I would have learned early on her cooking secrets and she would have trained me become an expert cook just like her. Nevertheless, I'll just try to assume her knack for cooking through the collection of recipe books she'll be passing to me soon. I can't wait to know her secret concoctions, her mystical ways and I can't wait to have a taste again of her masterpieces. I'm expecting though that it will still be a lot different and I will never match her cooking prowess. It has got to do with the hands...her hands.

Easter Kits and Freebies.

For some people, the lenten season makes it easier for them to do their slimming vows as they observe the ultimate sacrifices of fasting and abstinence. Some do it just ever Fridays but for those more persistent ones, they do it the entire 40 days of Lent. Some take slimquick extreme side by side for a more effective outcome. Come Easter, not only they earned indulgence but they feel a unique reformation, physically and spiritually, come Easter.

Speaking of Easter, I just found two of my favorite Easter kits so fast as I site hopped a while ago. Store URLs are linked on the image so just click on it should you need more info about the product or should you wish to buy it.

They've got some freebies too for us to enjoy!

Acne Myth Debunked

When you were younger, you were perhaps once misguided by the "urban legend" from the elders that acne is caused by eating so much sweets or diets containing chocolate, fats and carbonated beverages. But the thing is, acne is attributed to hormonal imbalance that produces the excess oil and clogging the skin pores. So to say that acne can be prevented by eating less sweets is absolutely false. There are natural remedies that can be done but in cases when these home made cure do not work, perusing murad reviews should do the trick. The use of creams, lotions and topical treatment that remove the oil sebum are the most effective treatment.

Since we now know better, the next time our Moms tell us to avoid sweets, we can always graciously say that, that myth has been debunked then offer her those sweets for a wonderful mother and child bonding/eating "sweet" moment.

Some More Lucky Kits.

I'm feeling unusually perky today so I scoured further my favorite digiscrapping websites to look for some more St. Patrick's Kits for your pleasure. With all the beers and downed corned beef, I'm certain that you're still pretty busy researching about diets for quick weight loss. So to save you time from shop-hopping, I've already done the taxing part so just peruse and see which ones would suit your style and your St. Patrick activities photos. Just click on the image to be redirected to their corresponding digishops.

Happy Digiscrapping!

St. Patrick's Day Kits

So how was your St. Patrick's Day celebrated the other day? Were you in green or have been pinched affectionately for not wearing one? I bet you have indulged once again with food like corned beef and beer (makes a great combination, huh?) and may have challenged the colon cleanse benefits for the nth time. As observed yearly, Saint Patrick's Day is one of the leading days for food and alcohol feasting in the United States, and is one of the busiest days of the year for bars and restaurants.

Anyway, let me just share a rundown of the St. Patrick themed kits that made debut last week and just the perfect kits for all your St. Patrick's activities.

Unopened, Untouched.

The husband once again found my stash of makeups in my drawer. Many are still unopened, untouched even and he's asking my plans of what to do with them. He's asking what's with my impulse buying of makeups when I don't even use most of them. Let's say that I'm just stocking up and I'm certain that they will be put to use someday. I'm just taking my time learning the proper makeup application by myself. Honestly, this has put me to serious thoughts about enrolling myself in a cosmetology school not only to nurture my interest but to pacify the husband so he would not endlessly ask me again about my plans on the unopened makeup stuffs as I'd be able to use them more often then.

Spring Kits

We may not be experiencing four seasons in our part of the world, but every time digital scrapbooking designers come up with Spring Kits such as below, I get ecstatic. I look forward and I get excited shopping for lovely spring colored kits that are perfect for any occasion, theme or just about any picture one wants to scrap with.

These are some of the latest Spring Kits that were just newly released:

Junior Aviator Quickpage Freebie

My son's latest fascinations include airplanes (or any flying object that he sees up in the sky). So this freebie from Michelle and Lliella Designs is a must download for me. He has some photos of him taken while riding a plane in a theme park's mini ferris wheel last year and this quickpage is perfect for that photo.

Download the freebie from Lliella Designs' blog.

Now is The Perfect Time

Earlier this morning on the news, statistics and figures confirm the experts' testament that gold is doing great in the world of precious metal investment. In fact, it never has a better value than now and it's interesting to note that it has reached the highest value in 2010 last January 11 at $1,151.40. I do not exactly know how significant this is but I'm intrigued with what the financial advisors are saying that now is the right time to buy gold coins. I am somehow enticed but the thing is I have yet to know and research on how to start on this exchange market. I just found the website of usgoldbureau.com and it seems I have found the answer.

No Weekend.

Weekend's over and while it's supposed to be spent as a 2-day rest, mine's totally different. I feel tired and exhausted instead of rejuvenated. We were out on most hours of both Saturday and Sunday driving, running errands, site visits, checking out some lighting fixtures in a nearby lamp store and a lot more. In between or whenever I am free to open my laptop, I work on my online pending tasks that are due early this week. So there, no "weekend" for me. But I'm excited to welcome this week still because it's my birthday week! Woot! That's something to look forward to and is enough to keep me ecstatic. I've got some interesting plans cooked up but that's for you to watch out. I'll update you as they happen or when I get some time.

Biograffiti's Printable Baby Book.

I haven't gotten my digiscrapping mojo back but I think, I found the antidote (to my laziness) and the "gas" to rev me up and open my Photoshop again.

No, it's totally not about manic and mmf drawer-breaking shopping.

It's about this:
I have always wanted to make a baby book for my 2 year old son and this kit from Biograffiti which will make its debut on Tuesday at Scrapartist is the quickpage collection I definitely want to use. Quickpages are what I need right now especially that I have an overly busy schedule. I can just plop the pics and voila, a baby book is done. By the way, there is also a different version for baby girls.

The special introductory price of the said baby book will be $15.99 (original price is $19.99) but the good news is, a lucky blog visitor at Biograffiti's site can win this collection and an add-on bundle for free. Check out her blog for the details.

New Project.

I am happily overwhelmed with the amount of work that I'll be having this coming week. It isn't sure yet (about 75% probability) but I guess the email I received from the job opening I recently applied via Charlotte job search is already a hint and I'm given a huge hope that I will be in. It's also a writing job but slightly different with my usual writing gigs. The pay's not that hefty but a good start to earn me enough experience and work feedback in that company. Wish me luck.

Favorite Wedding Layout

When I was still so into digiscrapping, the pictures that I love scrapping the most are the ones shot in our wedding. Here's one of my favorite shot during that special day.

Early Xmas Gifts
"I dreamt of a wedding of elaborate elegance. A church filled with family and friends. I asked him what kind of wedding he wished for. He said one that would make me his wife.”

Idea from Katie the Scrapbook Lady's January Month of Memories with Jan 16 as the National Nothing Day. With this prompt, no papers, embellishments or elements were used in this layout....just my photo tinted bridal picture and a nice wedding quote.

Speaking of weddings, it seems that we'll be attending a number of weddings again this year. Except for my cousin's wedding this coming Friday, we haven't received the formal invitations as I believe they'll not be until the last quarter of the year. They've sent save the date postcards though via email so in a way, we're kinda fixing our schedule on December as early as now. It's understandable that we've been receiving wedding invitations since two years ago. We'll, our batch isn't getting any younger so they also deem that this is the perfect time to settle down already. I'm really excited to see all of them finally tying the knot. Aside from the blissful celebration, I really do love attending weddings. Every time I witness a bridal march, I can't help but reminisce the day when I was once also a dashing bride walking down the aisle towards the love of my life, now my husband for almost five years. I really get sentimental and emotional especially if the bride gets teary-eyed because I know exactly what's running through her head. Tears, not really of sadness or fear but more of an overwhelming feeling..just pure bliss and immeasurable happiness.
