Additional Work

I'm so itching to shop right now but my Paypal wouldn't allow me to do so.  I’ve just transferred funds to my savings account. Yes, my wallet is penniless. This is my cue that I need to exert extra effort and find additional means so I can earn more for my shopping allowance and also, so I can invest already in my long planned business project.

I guess this is the perfect time to get out my rare gold coins collection out and do business with it.  How I wish I also have a bullion to make a deal of.  I searched online for a hard asset investment dealer and that's how I came to know about the US Gold Bureau. This company has been a trusted dealer for several years now with their dependable rare coin trade experts to trust.  By the way, they're not just limited to rare coins but they also trade other precious metals such as silver, platinum bullion and bullion coins.

Good Morning Philippines!

It’s already 5 AM and yet I’m still here in front of my laptop burning the midnight (or dusk?) oil as I work on my pending assignments.   I don’t know if I’ll ever manage to get a shuteye since I still rushing a number of tasks with the high hopes of making it before the deadline in a few hours from now.  Anyone who has the best eye cream out there, please send me some my way.  I think I’d be needing it later for the rest of the day.  Meanwhile, as I hear the rooster crowing, let me greet you a good morning and may you have a meaningful and productive week ahead.

Once You Pop…

..you can’t stop.  Oddly, that’s what’s happening to me right now.  It seems I can’t get enough browsing women's clothing catalogs in my favorite online shops.  August seems to be my shopping month as I’ve purchased several pieces for me: a bag and numerous dresses and tops.  I think, this is the problem when you suppress yourself too much of something because the effect could also be devastating.  It’s been months (or is it more than a year already) that I’ve imposed a no-shopping rule to pave way for a more important family project.  Now that we’re coping fine with our finances, I’ve bit by bit lifted the rule.  I may be shopping endlessly these days, but I still practice great frugality.  Meaning, I only buy dresses that are worth Php 300 and below, as much as possible.  Also, I shop but I see to it that I I have enough to pay it upfront.  No credit. No debts.

Gold and Individual Retirement Accounts

I was just browsing my Facebook account when I suddenly read about a link share from a friend regarding precious metals and individual retirement accounts (IRA) from the United States Gold Bureau.  It may sound way too advanced for me to think about IRAs but actually, it’s never too early to start thinking about retirement especially if you have a family and kids’ future to think about. I’m inspired by the illustration they used that explained how gold can safeguard savings from the devaluation of the American dollar.  Now I’m set to learn about these things further through the vast resources of good reads and information about everything related to gold investment at US Gold Bureau.

10 Months Spreadsheet

I shared the other day the finished First Year Photobook of my Little One.  Even though it was just made through the Silverlight software, I still had a fun time doing it.  Most of the kits I used were the ones made by my fellow Twitter Bebot friend and a digi kit designer, ate Jen.

Here’s one of my favorite spreadsheet in the Photobook:

10months

Journalling:

Asher turns 10 months old today and I know I may sound like a broken record here but I have just to repeat it, where did the time go? Just two months to go then he's one. As always, I'm amazed how time flies and how he grows and develops fast that new milestones and tricks pour in and surprise us almost each day.
Here are his firsts and other "smilestones" on his 10th month:
1. Two upper front teeth have uprooted giving him four teeth all in all. And with that, we now have a little gnawing and biting rascal. My breasts (during feeding time), my fingers, arms and even legs are his usual victims making me a battered mom.
2. The most frequent syllables he utters nowadays are "ma ma ma ma" or "mum mum mum mum"; "ba ba ba ba" and "di".
3. When he whines and longs for me to carry him, he reaches for me and cries "ma ma ma".
4. When instructed to "pray", he clasps his hands together under his chin (and even shakes them) after we guide him in doing the sign of the cross.
5. He can expertly stand on his own while holding on to something and cruise sideways (or locally termed as "gabay").
6. Knows the concept of "hide and seek". He covered a piece of paper with a table cloth then pulls it up to uncover. He did it over and over for several times.
7. When he's hungry or if he sees one munching, he would open and close his mouth as if he's munching too. He won't stop until you give/share your food to him.
8. He would raise his left or right arm on the armhole when putting his shirt on.
9. He learned his overly fast "close-open" trick yesterday then today, his "flying kiss" trick.
10. Can sit on his own from lying on tummy position. Slithers speedily but he can't still crawl on all fours (tummy off the floor). I guess he's one of those few babies who would skip crawling and proceed to walking motor skill.
11. Can expertly maneuver his walker to his preferred direction.
12. Loves the water now more than ever. He delightfully splashes the water in his tub during bath time with hands and even feet.
13. First beach experience. (Boracay: December 27-29, 2008)
14. First airplane ride. (To and from Boracay aboard Cebu Pacific and PAL)
15. First Baguio experience. (December 21 - 24, 2008)

What To Do With a Gold Bullion?

If you're given an opportunity to own gold bars or bullions, what would you do with them? Mold into a jewelry, keep it in a safe, sell it, mint into a gold coin  or would you invest it on some other ways? If I were to ask, here's what I'm going to do. I will seek the expertise of the dedicated staff of hard asset professionals from US Gold Bureau and ask the options that I can do with it. This reputable company has been one of America's gold and precious metals investment leaders for several years now. They offer safe storage services at an independent bank as well as sell gold or other precious metals in the form of coins or ingots. Check out their services now as there's no other better time of buying precious metals than now.

Freebie Finds

It’s been a while since I compiled and shared some digiscrapping freebie finds.  Since my day was a bit relaxed today and work is manageable, I scoured my fave digiscrapping blogs and forum for these freebies.  Just click the images, check out the designer’s page/blog/store and download away.  You know the drill.

My Almost A Year Old Harry

My laptop, which I fondly call Harry (Hewlett Packard), has been with me for almost a year now.  I bought this actually as a replacement to my Acerito (Acer) that decided to retired last year after more than 2 years of usage.  I decided to buy a new one instead of sending it to the service center for repair for practicality reasons.  It was a great timing because that time Walmart came out with an irresistible deal for this HP G60.  After perusing laptop and computer reviews, I learned that the specs of this laptop is impressive and indeed a steal for such a low price.  So without second thoughts, I said yes to my US-based friend who offered to buy it for me from the store then it would be shipped to here through his FIL who was coming home for vacation that time.  So after almost a year, so far, my Harry laptop, is doing great.  He’s been my partner with my online works and I’m glad that I’ve not encountered major problems so far with him.

Lucky 8,000 Holders

A dear cousin will celebrate his birthday next month.  As he is into coin collecting and has a vast portfolio of rare coins, I can not actually think of a better gift than a gold coin or a platinum coin addition to his collection.  I found this 2009 Proof 70 Platinum American Eagle at United States Gold Bureau and I believe that this is the perfect gift for him.  It’s priced just right and is within my budget, to my wallet’s delight.  I’ve asked another cousin (his sibling) to secretly checked if he has this already and she confirmed later on that he still doesn’t have this yet.  I’m sure he will be delighted receiving this one.  There was only a total of 8,000 Platinum Eagle Proofs minted in 2009 and he’ll be one of the lucky 8,000 in the world to own this coin.  Cool!

Safari or Zoo Themed Kits

After finishing Asher’s The First Year Photobook, now I’m trying to focus on finishing his Safari Themed First Birthday Party Photobook.  I’ve long started this and I even shared a few spreadsheets here in the past so hopefully, I’ll be able to finish it soon, also.  The only problem is that my external hard disk that contained the kit I used is gone.  So I either buy the same kit again, other cheaper safari themed kits or depend on freebies.  Anyway, here are some of the zoo or animal themed kits that would be perfect:

Lookie..I Scrapped!

Okay, not technically though.  Because I just whipped instant layouts directly over at Artscow.  With the use of Silverlight software, I was able to plop Asher’s First Year photos and design his The First Year photobook which I’ve been postponing for the longest time.  This photobook comes with a comprehensive listing of his monthly milestones as blogged on my Mommy online nook every month.  I just ordered it this afternoon (the Kohler kitchen faucet I’ve also been meaning to shop has to wait) and I can’t wait to view the book up close.  I’m sure the little one would also love flipping the pages and looking at the pictures as he’s doing with my A Journey To Motherhood Photobook.  Here are some spreads of Asher’s The First Year Photobook:
