Celebrate Life Collab Series Freebies

I’m really thankful for my friend Zanne for blogging about these great freebie finds.  I know I haven’t been digiscrapping for a long time now but these freebies are so awesome that I can’t resist downloading each one of them like crazy.

I think I’ll be needing a sort of atv power steering to find my way through these wonderful elements in my hard disk after downloading them.  They’re so immense that I’m having a hard time actually deciding which to use first.

These Celebrate Life Collab Series will only be available at My Scrapbook Art from Friday 5/27 to Monday 5/30 only…so hurry and download away before they’ll be forever be gone!

Again, thanks Diyosang Zanne for the heads up!

Thrush

A cousin of mine is suffering from a mouth discomfort.  His tongue has whitish lesions and a few parts that are bleeding.  After quickly perusing www.thrushtreatment.net, I learned that a thrush is what she has.  It’s actually an infection that also develops in the throat.  It’s caused by a certain type of bacteria and can be treated with an antifungal pill.  People get thrush when they take medicines like antibiotics or inhaled corticosteroids.

A Few Digi Freebie Finds

I have been quite productive today.  So after doing some m-drol reviews, I decided to relax a little and browsed my favorite digiscrapping sites to hunt for freebies.  Here’s hoping that I finally get inspired and be reunited with my artistic side.  There are tons (as in tons!) of photos I have here waiting to be scrapped but unfortunately, I still lack the inspiration and drive to do so.  Anyway, here are some of my freebie finds:

Camping Kits

My friends in the US are taking advantage of the nice weather so they’ll go camping this weekend.  I’m sure it’ll be a whole lot of fun and nonstop camera clicking of the good times and of the lovely camping place.  If they’ll be needing camping-themed kits afterwards for digiscrapping, these two would definitely be perfect for their photos.  These have all the necessary elements (tents, utility knife, campfire, binoculars, etc) for digiscrapping camping memories as well as have nice nature-colored paper colors.

Both kits can be bought at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

The Birthday Gift

Yesterday, after celebrating the husband’s birthday over lunch at Tokyo Cafe, we trooped to Toby’s to purchase the gift he specially requested.  Can you guess what is it?  Well, I’ve been blogging how he is so into basketball these days so it’s no brainer to decipher that he wants something basketball-related for his birthday.  He specified a basketball (ball) and a new pair of rubber shoes.  I excitedly said yes the moment he said this because this is so unusual of him.  I mean, when there’s an occasion, he’d always give me a hard time thinking what to gift him because he’d just an answer “anything will do”.  So yesterday, it was a breezy shopping task.  We went straight to the balls area, I let him choose which brand of basketball he desires while the little one excitedly picked up a soccer ball and made soccer goals in the play area.  As for the rubber shoes, well, he said that we’ll just buy it next time when we head to Pasay area.  He always buys his rubber shoes in Cartimar where replica basketball shoes are a lot cheaper.

Turning In Early While Pregnant

I got a reminder from my Babycenter iphone app that I should eat early like an elderly now that I’m pregnant.  At this stage, I need more rest since being pregnant is actually exhausting and causes great fatigue to the body.  According to studies, the amount of sleep that a pregnant woman gets has to do with the blood pressure level.  Further, “women who have a good night's sleep early in their pregnancy have better health later on”, according to new research.  This practice is also an effective means to remove dark circles under eyes.  Actually, pregnant or not, it’s just important to get enough rest and sleep.

Humid and Hot Still

It’s currently raining here in my neck of the woods at 3:30 PM.  It would have been the perfect weather to be comfy while going over the multivitamin reviews I’m tasked to do or just laze around with my current read but it still feels hot despite the rain.  It only made it feel more humid.  I’d love to turn on the AC now but it needs rest as it has been working overnight.  So it’s just the trusted fan doing its job to cool the room temperature down at the moment.  Looking forward to my refreshing Halo-halo snacks later on.
