Home Themed Kits

This coming June 21st marks the second year since we moved in to our lovely abode.  As a tribute, I’m planning to make a digiscrap layout about the 2 lovely and comfortable years of sheltering us.  I found so many nice home-themed digiscrapping kits in 2 of my favorite digital stores so here I am, having a trouble selecting just one and the perfect kit that complements the idea that I have in mind.

I’m loving all the elements!  There are couches, gel fireplaces, paint, mailboxes and captions like “sold”, “our first home”, “home sweet home”, “dream home” and many more.  Now if only I could stuff them all in my shopping cart for free..that would be awesome!

Handy Manny

It looks like the house fixtures are on strike.  From busted lights last week, it’s the kitchen sink that seemingly has a problem.  Luckily, I have a “handy manny” husband so we’ve got no problem replacing and fixing them.  He has a complete tool set that contains a spanner wrench and other plumbing materials and even electrical and mechanical ones.  There’s no need to call and spend on utility guys services just to fix these things.  The husband also stocks on light bulbs and other supplies so we don’t have to rush to the nearest hardware store just to buy one.

Felt Flower Elements

Aside from compiling and collecting life term insurance quotes, bookmarking digital scrapbooking kits that has felt flower elements has been my favorite past time these days.  This is in line with a new crafty business that I’m about to launch.  Not only that I’m getting ideas and inspirations from the kits, but I’ll buy some of these kits so I can use in designing my shop page.  So expect that I’ll be compiling my finds here for easier reference.  The shops are linked so if you find something interesting and worth using, just click on the image to get to the digishop.

Father’s Day Kits

June is here again and as it’s the Father’s Day month, all shops in the digiscrapping world will surely be busy coming up with father-themed digital scrapbooking goodies.  I already saw a couple at Sweet Shoppe Designs Saturday newsletter.  If you are planning to start working on your Father’s Day scrapping works, I suggest you do the shopping now as there’s a 20% off sale over at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Both kits are great on making your customized Father’s Day card, album and other knick-knacks.  These could go well with your other gift Father’s Day gift selections like cheap humidors, shirt, wallet, belt, etc.

Mi Papa

Happy Father's Day Papa!

I was back reading my first blogs posts in 2006 and I saw this.  This layout was my special Father’s Day gift to my Dad.  Here’s an excerpt of what I’ve written about this layout:

When Paul officially asked my Dad's blessings a year before our wedding, he was sobbing. As Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up was being sung, lots of our guests found themselves dabbing their eyes as my dad walked me down the aisle crying as if we'll never ever see again. When my Dad and I swayed to Someone To Watch Over Me for our Father-Daughter Dance, he tried very hard to control his tears but there we were...tears filled up our eyes in silence. I tried to hush him and uttered some words of assurance that I'll always be her bunso eventhough I'll no longer use his surname, but I guess, the silence and sniffing said it all.

That was the sentimental daughter in me chronicling about those special father-daughter moments in my wedding.  My Dad had been so instrumental on that special day and I’ll never forget each detail from the moment he offered sponsorship of mens wedding bands during the wedding preparations up to the day after when he greeted me.  Such a sweet Dad indeed.

Father-Son Activity

My son and his Dad have discovered a new bonding activity.  Who would’ve thought that cleaning and fixing the car would be such a fun and albeit, tiring, an amusing experience.  Boys will be boys.  It looks like the little boy is growing up as “handy manny” as his Dad.  Well, I’ve got no objections.  I’d prefer that he does those boy stuff rather than mess up the house with his toys.  Actually, I can see mess on the garage tile right now but it’s okay..his Daddy will be the one to fix it up.
