Introducing Early

According to studies, introducing music to babies and children have great, significant effects in their development specifically on their emotional and psychological well-being.  Also, there have been studies that show children who are involved in music cope better academically than other kids who are not.  They are prone to achieve higher grades in mathematics, languages and sciences.  Music develops children to be more self-disciplined, creative, organized and cooperative.  So introducing music lessons early in kids such as piano, drum, guitar and other musical instruments lessons are highly advised.  In this regard, instead of non-educational toys, buying them musical instruments like yamaha p95 can help them get involved with and be greatly interested with music.

Ribbon Organizers

I have plenty of grosgrain and satin ribbons in my craft stash and I’m in pursuit of the most effective way to organize them.  The husband has been complaining already of the mess I’m wreaking havoc every time I create headbands for the business.  These are some of the smart tips and inspirations I got from Pinterest.

Being Crafty with Hair Trinkets

Here’s what I’ve been busying myself with these past few days.

Ever since I launched my hair trinkets business last month, I’ve so busy doing all these cute crafty things.  Ribbons, hairbows, scissors, needle, thread, glue gun, appliques and other hair bow materials are my newly found “toys”!  I never thought that doing hair accessories such as headbands, clips and ribbons was this so much fun.  They actually make great gifts for little girls and even adults since my designs can be worn by all ages.  And what’s even more fun?  I get to earn profits while having fun doing and selling these crafty things.

Speaking of gifts, of course, there would be redenvelope coupons that can be sourced online if you don’t have the time to make your own gift.  These coupons can help you save and score the greatest deals online from your favorite stores.

Candy Cups

This one’s a pretty good idea and very apt for the little one’s candyland themed birthday party.

Missing the Beach

image

I saw my son this afternoon browsing this Boracay Photobook I made a few months back.  Seeing the photos of him on the beach made him miss the lovely beach and the vacation we spent with dear friends last year.  He kept on asking me when will we be back and experience Boracay again.  How I wish we could soon.  I’m sure he’ll enjoy it by then even more now that he has conquered his fear on the water.  Unlike when he was younger, he can now bravely float on the water (with a floater) unaided.  He’s very eager to learn how to swim.  That’s why come summer vacation, we’ll enroll him in a swimming class so that he can enjoy even more the water and who knows, master the skill of swimming and even bring home a swim trophy from competitions some day.  What a proud moment that would surely be for us!

Picture Vases

Another interesting craft idea find from Pinterest.  A vase from the dollar store, a votive candle, and photos printed on vellum.  That’s all you need to have to come up with this lovely decoration.  This makes a great gift for a friend, relative, to your kid’s teacher, newly married couple or practically to anyone.  In fact, these may also be used as lovely table decorations during private functions like weddings and birthdays.  On weddings, engagement pictures can be used.  So how did the Pinner do it?  She printed the photos on vellum and adhered them to the dollar vases using Modge Podge sealants.  Place the votive candle inside and light it..then voila!  It will look like the illuminated photos were printed in black and white and a reflective tape is used but there’s actually none.  Lovely craft idea to add to your DIY list, isn’t it?  This one’s a must try.
