NSD's Over.

National Scrapbooking Day is certainly over and what it left me are:
1. 1.89 GB purchased and free digiscrapping goodies
2. a "holed" paypal wallet
3. pressure to scrap my stashed photos in my external hard disk

Now I need to make up the cost that depleted my paypal and of course, I do have to make use of these goodies. I bet the designers are smiling big with their earnings as they do some Business valuation. The husband's encouraging me to venture into designing for business. I told him I don't have the expertise and enough skill yet to do that...in the future, perhaps.

Happy NSD!

I have to relax and take a breath for a moment. I've been hopping and flipping digishops and forums madly since yesterday, trying soooo much not to be enabled and shop and excitingly hunting for the cutest freebies that are up for grabs. Everyone is so busy doing their shopping from their fave digital scrapbooking sites and participating in sponsored fun and games at DST and MSA.

So what loots did I get? A lot! I actually need to allot some time to organize the kits I purchased and got for free before I can digiscrap again. I think I still have time this noon to do that. We're supposed to attend the Sunday mass this morning but the little one (and the Mom) woke up late. Because of that we also have to postpone our planned malling to next weekend instead. We're buying the little man some stuffs and new blinds for the room.

For the mean time, I have to go and check out some more goodies to add to my stuffs. See yah around.

On Digital Scrapbooking.

Wow, I just realized that I have been into digital scrapbooking for two years already. Contrary to others who started with paper scrapping prior jumping into digital, I right away went digital upon the influences of some of my fellow 2005 brides at a wedding e-group. I was so enamored of their works that I tried doing it myself. First, I attended a free tutorial on Adobe Photoshop basics at a nearby computer school then everything else followed. My first digital site was Digitalscrapbookplace. It is in there that I started up and downloaded freebies and joined challenges. Then a few months later, I got hooked with other digital sites then I just found myself madly purchasing kits onwards. From simple and basics techniques, I learned the semi-complicated ones through tutorials online. I could say that I'm no an expert digiscrapper yet but I'm just glad that I got better over the years. In fact, several friends have even asked me to create baptismal and birthday party invitations for them and they were overly satisfied. Now with the coming of our dear Baby A, I'm sure he'd now be mostly the subject of my digiscraps.

Hello Saturday!

Yes, it's weekend! My favorite time of the week. The only time when I can freely scour the web for nice and new digscrapping goodies and freebies. Speaking of freebies, I'll be back in a while to share my recent finds. And oh, I'm controlling myself from visiting my fave digiscrapping shops..I might be enabled again to shop. Uh-oh! Later.

I'm back.

After a long, three month hiatus…yes, I’m back! I had a very sensitive first trimester that kept me away from the puter for quite some time. At any rate, I’m now doing better as I breeze through the halfway mark of my pregnancy. You can read more of my pregnancy tales on my main blog.

I’m indeed back but I am just not sure and can’t promise that The Scrapaholic Me will be scrapping madly as before since my mojos haven’t returned yet. Yes, my digiscrapping kits were also on vacation just as this blog was. Lol! I miss digiscrapping though. I miss tinkering my kits, hunting and downloading freebies, shopping for good buys, etc. I wonder when my creative juices will start functioning again.

Howdy Sunday?

So how was my day today?

1.) Hubby and I attended the Easter mass this morning.
2.) I did some dollar opps.
3.) Continued categorizing digiscrapping stuffs. I’m done with the full kits and papers, just the elements this time.
4.) Tried to have a siesta but could not because of the sweltering heat. Paul managed to zonk out, though while I blogged and digiscrapped.
5.) We went to the hospital for Paul’s second run of SCA.
6.) We had a Jollibee Amazing Aloha burger meal for snacks.
7.) Did some countdown. Arggh! Just one day left before the long vacation ends. Come Tuesday, reality’s back and I have to deal with hefty workload ahead in the office. Anyway, there’s still tomorrow and I have to make the most out of it. I will blog, surf, digiscrap, sleep, watch TV, cuddle hubby and idle madly while there’s time. Can I request for a break extension???

Weekend Roundup.

Paul and I went to SM Megamall yesterday for this:

Though DD Copyworks' rental sales are doing good this month (perhaps due to the end-of-school-year-projects of the students), we still have to be updated of the latest releases of online games especially that summer is near. Luckily, we were able to get posters and CD installers of the latest online games from Mobius and E-games.

We also roamed around Cyberzone and canvassed for a laptop with nice specs and a good CC installment term. However, Paul didn't like the specs and noticed that they were pricey compared to the ones he saw at tipidpc. We also went to Canon and gazed & drooled over the DSLRs that were on display. :Sigh: i'll get hold and own one of those, in time. Hehe!

Then we ate baked mac and pepperoni pizza at Greenwich to satisfy our growling tummies. We were also tired of walking so we rested for a while. After some energy was restored, we bought some magazines: Game, Yummy and I-mag photography (where I learned some more cool photoshop tricks and tips)..then, guess where I dragged Paul to...hehe! where else..Timezone! wooohoo! I got to shoot some hoops again and played for about 4 straight games..losing 2 of 3 linked games to Paul. Ayun..my muscles sored again. Haha! With not much energy left, we went home but since we didn't bring the car thinking of the possible weekend traffic along EDSA, we faced and hurdled one more physical challenge...of how we'll squeeze in and "rub armpits" with other passengers inside a jampacked MRT coach.

************
Didn't accomplish any LO again this weekend. This time, the puter bogged down, probably, it was corrupted by a virus forcing Paul to reformat it. It's working fine now but most of the softwares aren't installed yet including Photoshop and Acdsee Photo Manager. Oh my..which reminds me, I have to reorganize again about 11GB of digiscrapping kits. I'll be needing another whole weekend to finish that. Wish me luck with this ordeal.
